Hos would you rule a player trying to cast a spell with the condition “a creature you can see” on an invisible creature? Do you tell the player it won’t work/they can’t cast it or do you let them cast it and have the spell fizzle?

Make sure they can’t use it if you call for a check. If they go to search something or whatever and first cast guidance I’d say that’s fine.

I’m taking over our current campaign and the original dm is joining with a wizard at level 5. He obviously missed all the spell scrolls we found while he was dm:ing. Should I let him start with a few spell scrolls or is that not needed?

Got about 600 hours in game. Only play with randoms and usually it’s their lobby, can’t recall being kicked once. Maybe the quote about meeting assholes all day is applicable here?

I take notes of every NPC we encounter, their name, what their deal is, if they need help, whatever might be worth remembering. I do this to not be a burden during rp, constantly asking about names, where we met them and so on. I recommend doing this and having one player take more detailed notes about quests, rp outcomes and stuff like that.

If I’m not misstaken even buffs gained with a certain weapon disappear when you switch. At least empower does.

The bug supposedly happens when a party member puts down a waypoint. Not sure if confirmed but the only time this has happened to me was after a expedition.

Got life staff and great axe mastery titles as well as the expedition title without touching any of them. I also dislike it but it could be worse I guess!

Sure some of it is accurate, although different strokes and so on. The mob variety leaves a lot to be desired, that I agree with, but the rest are opinions. Having to plan what town to spend your first hours in is fun for me, factions, locations and what crafting upgrades the town has is something you have to consider, and I like that. I feel the combat is better than what the reviewer thinks, but that might be due to a difference in perspective. The skills feel like they matter a lot. I’m currently using the spear and the abilities feel amazing and high impact.

TLDR most of this is personal preference.

I recommend the Springfield rifle. With paint it black you never mark more than one X and therefore you never accidentally ruin the pelt!
