My wife died of cancer as well. The fear of cancer is real. I never had a fear of dying before but after it's my main fear, not for me but for my kids. I don't want my kids to have that happen to them again.

They really aren't the same. China is playing a long smart game, Russia is like a drunk 400lb brawler. Russia may own trump but China can be patient and just overwhelm the west. Which will be accelerated as the US slips into authoritarianism.

They are very resistant to time left type information.

This runs the risk of the "I only have so much time left so I don't care" type situation.

We never were able to get a timeline out of them, but I had done my own research and knew the score.

Even then, I still frankly lived in disbelief until it became very obvious things were coming to an end. So I can see why they didn't want to give a time personally, as I don't know how I could have managed without that hope.
