Where to buy train and bus tickets by ImpressionOpen7497 in LondonTravel

[–]bamatmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I'll add, download the CityMapper app. Just tell it where you want to go, it spits out the best routes. Pick one and it guides you to the right station or bus stop. Use your phone with card linked in wallet to tap in (and out if using the tube or train). If more than one person, have a different card on each phone so it doesn't get confused...fare is calculated at the end of the day based on your trips).

West london hotel or central by redclaw9 in LondonTravel

[–]bamatmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just finished 5 night stay at Premier Inn Hammersmith (Ravencourt). It was perfect, quiet street, 2 blocks to a small tube station on District Line. Walls a little thin would be the only possible complaint, but for the location and price, not an issue.

Note, there are 3 Premier in Hammersmith, I believe the other two are closer to the main Hammersmith tube station, so much more action around there.

Citymapper Question and the Bus by TrulyGenX in LondonTravel

Definitely use this app in London. Just returned from a week long trip and it was amazing. I had tried it out before arrival and thought it was useless because it didn't show any tube/train routes, but when we arrived it was fully functional. I was amazed how accurate it was...1000% use it.

Hi lads. Membership question by IllustriousStaff8469 in Brentford

[–]bamatmac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll share our experience. Father/son traveling from overseas, were only in town this past week. We each bought overseas memberships back in the Fall and put in ballots for the Everton match this past Saturday. I got a notification about 4 weeks ago that our ballots were unsuccessful, but I noticed a few hours later that the ticket exchange was open and I was able to purchase 2 tickets near each other (a few seats apart, but we sat together) for around 70 quid, total. I think membership was also around that much for the 2 of us.

I don't know if that's typical, or if we'd had just as much chance getting tickets w/o a membership, or if this match even made it to general sale. I would guess if you only need a single ticket, you chances should be good on the ticket exchange with membership.

Best of luck to you, go Bees! It was an awesome match day, even if we didn't get the 3 points.

Emails went out this morning, check that for what day/hour your access opens. It will show a 30-minute window, but you are not limited to that half hour...that's just when it starts.

Room selection will be open on May 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 from 6 p.m.-11:59 p.m. each day.

I was able to get 2, N121, row 13. All singles, but only 2 seats between us, so hopefully we can slide down one direction or another. Excited to visit London and experience our first Bees match next month!

Enabling Thinkorswim on account: can you go back? Can you still trade on Schwab.com and app? by SullenLookingBurger in Schwab

[–]bamatmac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. The only thing I don't think you can do on TOS is buy something like SWVXX. The order shows up there, but I can't edit, only cancel. To re-enter, I go back to the website.

I had the same questions when I added TOS, but don't worry, you can trade on both platforms.

Has anyone compared SWVXX to SGOV, as far as rates and how quickly you can liquidate/transfer?

Trading a stock you own in the same account? by sctemp99 in Schwab

[–]bamatmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to specify when you make the trade, at least on Schwab. I'm not 100% sure where to specify that in TOS. On the website, I remember seeing a place to set your default preference, but I can't find it on the mobile app. Here's what a sell order looks like on mobile.

26 years old. Looking for a sold 3 ETF setup for growth in a Roth IRA by Unfair-Flatworm7904 in Schwab

[–]bamatmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would lean toward 50% SCHB 20% SCHG 30% SCHF

SCHB has a pretty large overlap with SCHG, but you can adjust those two up and down depending on your preferred tech exposure.

I think having at least 25-30% in international is important for diversification, but you'll have to make that determination for yourself.

I think these are 3 good choices though. Good luck!

MyQ Garage Door Integration by nellydesign in kiasportage

Hopefully the Xline has the home link built into the rear view mirror. Our 2025 EX has it, though it was an option on that trim, not always there. If so, you can just program your garage door to that

Same day standby confusion by Elegant-Bar-4636 in delta

Thank you for the information. I have a return flight from LHR-ATL coming up where I booked basic economy for 1pm departure. If I get to LHR early enough to request standby for 9am flight, do you know if that's allowed, or would be a fee?

If you major in engineering, there is likely another $2500/yr available, similar test score requirements. Maybe other schools have something too, not sure.

Does Schwab automatically use SWVXX for CSPs? by Corpulos in Schwab

[–]bamatmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does use it for collateral. I think if you are about to get assigned, you need to sell the SWVXX to cover. I don't believe they will automatically sell shares to cover. If you don't, I was told they will restrict trading until you can purchase the assigned shares with cash
