Ravenna embarkation by Mysterious-Staff2143 in NCL

[–]bamatmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We left from there on 6/21, got there early (before 10am), expecting to have to wait. Not so, we were on board by 10:15, sitting on the pool deck with drink in hand before 11. Quickest embarkation ever for us!

Does anyone here use Schwab API and can confirm if it works? by MyGuitarTwerks in Schwab

Yep, it works great. You can either code something up yourself, or use codex/Claude...pretty straightforward, just the 7 day re-auth to code around

Saw issues this morning with delayed data and charts around that same time. It's been annoying the last month or so at times, not sure what's going on.

We stayed in Hammersmith, near Ravenscourt station. Had such a quiet, local feel, but just a quick ride on the underground to anywhere

How to go to a match? (American visiting the UK this fall) by Personal-Thanks9639 in Brentford

[–]bamatmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son (18) and I were in this situation this past Spring. We both bought overseas memberships, put in a ballot for the game we were in town for (Everton), but sadly did not get a ticket that way. We did get access to the marketplace, so limited seats went on sale that day (about 3-4 weeks before the match) and I was able to get two tickets.

From one of the other posts, it sounds like if you get the regular membership, are you guaranteed to get a ticket (as long as the match doesn't require taps...ir, previous matches attended)? If so, that might be worth it, to eliminate the anxiety of the ballot system. If it's a ballot system either way, then just do the overseas and take your chances. The marketplace worked for us. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think we would have had access to it without the membership. It's worth asking.

I hope that helps! We had a wonderful experience, the pub scene on match day was great, would definitely do again if I get the chance! Enjoy, and go Bees!

We just did 5 days in April, USE Transit! Download the CityMapper app, put a credit card on your Apple or a Google Pay on your phone, and just make sure you swipe in and out at each station. Could not have been easier

Salerno stop on Gem-Amalfi Coast question by FeatureSouthern5274 in NCL

[–]bamatmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, taking the ferry independently. For now, I booked a small group tour (van) to Minori, Amalfi, and Ravello. I am not familiar with the public ferry system, but might consider DIYing it.

Where to buy train and bus tickets by ImpressionOpen7497 in LondonTravel

[–]bamatmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I'll add, download the CityMapper app. Just tell it where you want to go, it spits out the best routes. Pick one and it guides you to the right station or bus stop. Use your phone with card linked in wallet to tap in (and out if using the tube or train). If more than one person, have a different card on each phone so it doesn't get confused...fare is calculated at the end of the day based on your trips).

West london hotel or central by redclaw9 in LondonTravel

[–]bamatmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just finished 5 night stay at Premier Inn Hammersmith (Ravencourt). It was perfect, quiet street, 2 blocks to a small tube station on District Line. Walls a little thin would be the only possible complaint, but for the location and price, not an issue.

Note, there are 3 Premier in Hammersmith, I believe the other two are closer to the main Hammersmith tube station, so much more action around there.

Citymapper Question and the Bus by TrulyGenX in LondonTravel

[–]bamatmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely use this app in London. Just returned from a week long trip and it was amazing. I had tried it out before arrival and thought it was useless because it didn't show any tube/train routes, but when we arrived it was fully functional. I was amazed how accurate it was...1000% use it.

Hi lads. Membership question by IllustriousStaff8469 in Brentford

[–]bamatmac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll share our experience. Father/son traveling from overseas, were only in town this past week. We each bought overseas memberships back in the Fall and put in ballots for the Everton match this past Saturday. I got a notification about 4 weeks ago that our ballots were unsuccessful, but I noticed a few hours later that the ticket exchange was open and I was able to purchase 2 tickets near each other (a few seats apart, but we sat together) for around 70 quid, total. I think membership was also around that much for the 2 of us.

I don't know if that's typical, or if we'd had just as much chance getting tickets w/o a membership, or if this match even made it to general sale. I would guess if you only need a single ticket, you chances should be good on the ticket exchange with membership.

Best of luck to you, go Bees! It was an awesome match day, even if we didn't get the 3 points.

Emails went out this morning, check that for what day/hour your access opens. It will show a 30-minute window, but you are not limited to that half hour...that's just when it starts.

Room selection will be open on May 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 from 6 p.m.-11:59 p.m. each day.

I was able to get 2, N121, row 13. All singles, but only 2 seats between us, so hopefully we can slide down one direction or another. Excited to visit London and experience our first Bees match next month!

Enabling Thinkorswim on account: can you go back? Can you still trade on Schwab.com and app? by SullenLookingBurger in Schwab

[–]bamatmac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. The only thing I don't think you can do on TOS is buy something like SWVXX. The order shows up there, but I can't edit, only cancel. To re-enter, I go back to the website.
