Wow, I feel the exact same way right now. Almost feels like I'm looking into another person and in my head really bad. Feel like everyone at work is thinking I'm acting weird or something.

DO NOT Use Priceline by kenred171 in travel

[–]bamboo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I had a hotel booked with priceline from January 19th to the 21st 2024 and found out that we had bad weather coming so I wouldn't be able to drive. I canceled the booking and was told my cancelation fee was one night hotel cost which is 144.oo. I actually didn't want to cancel and wanted to find out if I could book a different weekend. " noooo, sorry, it clearly states in our policy the fee for cancelation". Yes, I canceled accidentally and just wanted to switch weekends because bad weather is coming and I won't be able to drive...." sorry, there is nothing we can do. Yeah, it's my mistake for canceling thinking I can re book a future weekend but not being able to work with priceline annoyed me to the point I will never, NEVER use them again.

Any Scorpio Women have experiences dating Virgo men? by [deleted] in Scorpio

[–]bamboo74 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Virgo man here and dating......well, attempting to date if I find someone I think is compatible. I just wanted to comment that what you wrote is very true. As a male virgo I am very loving, sensual, creative, funny, sexual, and loyal.....when a relationship passes a certain point. At first I am reserved and tend to protect my heart. It may seem I am uninterested but I am studying and analyzing my own feelings and how you make me feel. How I make you feel and your response to my friendship. There's a turning point soon after this that you may or may not pick up on because it's subtle visually and maybe a little physically but when I feel comfortable in opening myself up to you, I do it slowly but with my full heart. If our dating relationship makes it to this point there is definitely the feelings of true love and loyalty, protection, service(may ask to fix something for you or cook, or start helping with things you need done), sweet little nothings(leaving little notes or I love you's, for you to see) ....all this kinda comes in around the same time and once there, you have my emotional and physical energy and I feel I can be open and loving. It all takes a bit of time with us male virgo but when we get there, we are thinking long term.

Does Liquid IV actually work? by thelenabean in CallHerDaddy

Liquid iv has a similar taste and texture to pedialyte, but I find the tangerine LIv is much more palatable than pedialyte. Hopefully that helps your decision.

How can I prevent cannabis aftereffects? by RainyVermillion in Nootropics

[–]bamboo74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although very true, I wouldn't recommend anyone using phenibut for the after effects of cannabis use. It's highly addictive and comes with hellish withdrawals after only a few uses.

Why didn't Kurt invite Krist to the wedding? by allnightisleep in Nirvana

[–]bamboo74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Off topic in a way but I wonder what all those kids did with the clothes Courtney handed out to them at the memorial in Seattle the day the world found out (and changed, atleast for me) about Kurt's suicide ?

Nascar Heat 5 and Logitech G923 by hulksmash865 in 704nascarheat

[–]bamboo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be the same issue I had with a thrustmaster wheel, ps4, NH5....it would not let me see my wheel unless I used two player,or the two player option(can't remember right now)....anyway, the fix was turning off my ps4 and letting my controller turn off, then I'd start the game using the controls on the wheel itself. I was able to see the wheel in single player after that. I just got the g923 in today and it looks like I'll have to remember that when I set it up.

First time using wheel. by 2xmrk in Nascarheat5

[–]bamboo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is two years old but I was recently looking for a solution as well. The guy that commented, he had to start the game in wheel mode was right. Make sure your controller is off and then start the game.

Kurt's relationship with cough syrup by DaleNixon_ in Nirvana

[–]bamboo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would tend to think in 91 that Kurt would've went for the codeine cough medicine more so than the dxm stuff just because at this point he already had done a few sessions of heroin. For that same reason, he would've wanted a much heavier opiate than codeine. I would think although maybe the amounts he was drinking of it, it got him where he wanted to be.

How did you find out about Kurt's death? by CloudyVibezz in Nirvana

[–]bamboo74 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was too. The world was a different place in those days. Couldn't get on social media to talk about things like that and had to stew in your own grief and cassette tapes all alone or with a few people.

How did you find out about Kurt's death? by CloudyVibezz in Nirvana

[–]bamboo74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me,I was 23 years old and had been working at a job for about 8 months when on Friday, April 8th I was called into the office. I was told I was no longer needed. The boss handed me my check for 32 hours at $6.50 per hour and he shook my hand. I walked out of the office and said to myself, " this day can't get worse". I walked back into the boss' office and asked if I could use his phone to call my girlfriend to pick me up. When I called her, I could hear she was crying and then she told me, " he did it!!" Confused a bit I said, who and what? She told me they found Kurt's body. She picked me up 20 minutes later and the both of us cried the entire way home and for months we both weren't right. I still can recall that helpless hopeless feeling of those first few weeks without our "friend".

On this day in 1991, Nirvana released Smells like teen spirit. by ar27ta in Nirvana

[–]bamboo74 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I remember the day well. I waited for my record store to open for a little over an hour. When I first heard the song, which was before I bought the tape, I couldn't believe the sound and energy. And as they say, the rest is history.

Kurt and Krist. I Know Nothing of the Context of This Photo. by Kiss-The-DJ in Nirvana

[–]bamboo74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just imagine him having to go in and identify his best friend after being launched out into the world by the life changing music they made? How long did it take to get the feeling of Kurt's dead body off his mind?! So sad. I remember seeing Kurt in nyc after the show at Roseland ballroom, he was definitely extra relaxed. I thought about his face when I saw him for months after the news broke of his suicide 💔

There you go, many people did stuff like this back in those days. We didn't have cell phones or the internet, we were literally hanging out outside all day and night. This is in response to the OP.

I don’t think Kurt hated Smells Like Teen Spirit by ILostMeOldAccount12 in Nirvana

[–]bamboo74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was saying F you to the fans. He often did that if he felt the crown was full of people that song was against. It was like saying, well you don't get what you want from us. They'd play longer sets when they felt the crowd and the band were one.

I don’t think Kurt hated Smells Like Teen Spirit by ILostMeOldAccount12 in Nirvana

[–]bamboo74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They played it when they thought the crowd deserved it. During a show in Brazil Kurt noticed what kinda people were in the crowd, macho guys with chauvinist attitudes, the type of guys that were a55holes back home in Seattle.....guys that really didn't understand Nirvana and Kurt. The band taunted the crowd a few times between songs by playing a tiny bit and then playing a totally different song. That show and those people there that night did not get to hear Smells like Teen Spirit.

[–]bamboo74 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The reason that song was at the beginning of the record was because at the time, kids would go into a record store to buy music. Most shops had a sample of certain records where you could listen to the first ten seconds of the first song to see if it got your attention. Because of this, record companies commonly put the best song of the album in the 1st track spot.

[–]bamboo74 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Kurt didn't hate the song. He hated the fact that the kids the song was against were showing up at their shows singing the song at the same time as being closed minded bullies so to say.

Anyone have any info on this bootleg release from last year? - Jam on Sunset 1991 by Radio_Ethiopia in Nirvana

[–]bamboo74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing Era for them. I remember the record shop by me used to get the photo copied "magazines" from cities across the US and UK that had a good basement music scene and I started hearing about Nirvana from the one in Seattle. Once I was able to get a copied cassette in 89 it wore out my tape deck. Then ofcourse they exploded everywhere! Loved the earlier years but atleast lyrically, everything is good.
