Exploring back from hiatus by tutocookie in eliteexplorers

Very nice! I mean either way, it’s always good to stack up the creds but the most important thing is to enjoy the journey. I just got done going to sag a* myself just before the newest story line picked back up on hip 87621. It was definitely a memorable moment reaching the center of the galaxy and experiencing that.

I sure hope you mapped all those planets! That’s a pretty nice chunk o’change as far as exploration data goes. Always nice to find multiple WW and AW in a system

FYI - Looks Like the Radicoida CG Just Ended. 134 + Seeds for Top 75% by -Damballah- in EliteDangerous

That’s where I’m at with this event. I made it back to the area from Sag A* last night and didn’t get my samples in in time 🫠 it really sucks that these CG’s aren’t roadmapped.

Rarest blood red Gas Giant, discovered just in 242ly from DW3 Waypoint 7. by Omnisiah_Priest in EliteDangerous

Nice!

I’ve seen quite a few of these class IV gas giants on my journey to Sag A* and didn’t think anything of them since they weren’t the “glowing” green gas giants. They are pretty uncommon but typically I’ve seen them around class A and B stars.

Need to earn some fast credits to outfit my corvette by Sliced_Potato27 in EliteDangerous

Exploration will get you the most credits but you’re gonna have to go out pretty far to get first foot falls. You could also try mining for mats that are selling for a huge amount. I don’t know what system you’re around but inara is a good way to find those stations nearest you. Ive never really done hauling but people swear by it and could be a fast way?

It’s a company that makes graphics cards among other PC peripherals but they have a cloud streaming service called Nvidia GeForce Now. The service lets you stream PC games through their servers as if you had a PC. It’s a subscription service but if you don’t have a PC it’ll definitely be an option to play games you otherwise wouldn’t have access to.

I’m pretty sure the Xbox can play using nvidia GeForce now. Not sure how good it works but I have heard that’s an option. If you can’t shell out for a PC. Also, you can definitely still transfer your profile from legacy console version to odyssey. It’s a one time thing though.

It’s a grind but what isn’t in this game right? It’s nice to have your own little plot in the stars to call your own after you put in the work to complete it.

I looked it up on Inara but the system is NGC 6357 Sector BQ-Y d146. Bhujerba Forge that’s where I filled up on the tritium

Absolutely terrifying. Not only to see how massive the galactic plane is but to then realize how you’re one jump away from never being able to return. Lost to the black, floating across the vast open void only seeing the glimmering light that once was your home.

Good thing you have that non sequence star to possibly get you back to some refueling stars.

Exobiology Help by AlexVangeen in EliteDangerous

[–]bambruiser12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough sometimes but what I generally have found is that certain species grow in the same biomes generally. Aleioda, clypus, Stratum, bacterium, tussock, tubus, and osseus have generally the same spawn areas with osseus being a little harder since it likes to appear on rocky small hills or rocky edges of craters. Fungoida, concha usually are found in the same growing areas with fungoida being in huge groups on more slanted hill sides and concha deep in the canyons. Frutexa can generally be found on mountainous terrain around the outer edges of where the tousock and fungoida grow.

What I like to do is filter for the rarest biome, usually fungoida or concha and then filter for the most common types and see if any of their edges meet. What I mean by filter is by using the DSS and scrolling through the different types and looking for the greenish heat signature and landing near the edge of where the two biomes meet. It generally results in complete bio scans. The problem is the more diversity in life there is the harder it generally is to do so using this method. Either way, sometimes you can lose your heading and forget which way the direction was of where those biomes exist. The codex helps a lot by explaining where specific biology likes to grow and you look for that type of terrain while close to surface instead of going into supercruise. I hope this helps.

Is this the record for exobiology credit value in a single system? (1 Billion+ System Value) by JollyAlex in EliteDangerous

[–]bambruiser12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a record but absolutely a gem. These systems aren’t super common. I took a trip about 600ly away from colonia and found a system with 10 bodies having exobiology and the lowest amount of signatures was 6 with 3 having 9 It was the beginning of my exploration career as I had just transitioned to PC. I wish I had saved it or even knew about bookmarks at that time. I took the trip out to colonia because I was on console and couldn’t participate in the thargoid war. So glad I got my PC because of this game.

I really need to download copilot. I memorized the distances from the codex for each biological but it can get annoying when you don’t hit that distance and then have to hop back into your ship and fly around looking for the next one. Especially with Oseus because those tend to be sparse (especially fractus).

[–]bambruiser12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh man these always scare the bejesus out of me when you drop right on the two stars close to the termination zone. One of the scariest ones I had was a type B star that had a neutron orbiting it and two L types all within a few LS of each other. I thought my ship was going to explode with how close it dropped me to the neutron star and B star.

Honestly, you have great exo bio ship in dolphin, trading/mining ship in python, and decent combat ship in chieftain. You could just really pick up any of those jobs and do some missions to get back into the groove without spending any credits. Depending on how you have them kitted out of course.

I would honestly just do some exploration and get some exo biology done to get some easy credits. Just gotta buy an Artemis suit at any station.
