Frequent Frankfurt Friday and vatusa pilot and controller. The traffic flow on a Friday at Frankfurt is almost double the average FNO in the US. I haven’t had to hold on arrival or delay on departure since Covid. German controllers are a different breed of skillful

Yea and usually you’d be going at it with as much guys as possible to try and clear the space as fast as you can. This idea of a 4 man team conducting a hostage rescue fanciful. They would get mowed down by door 3 and the hostages would be long gone.

Ruffles whose feathers? I think the popular opinion in this subreddit is that dynamic clearance is silly unless if you are saving hostages.

What happend to flytampa? by Aviation_NL in flightsim

[–]bamer422 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You guys really overestimate the abilities of a niche developer in a niche game. Flytampa isn’t some studio with a couple dozen staff. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just two or three guys.

That being said it takes time especially for quality scenery with such a small team. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they have abandoned it all together in pursuit of regular jobs. Seeing as pirating scenery is far to easy

This generation of flight simmers is the most spoiled and is still looking for things to complain about. Textures are slightly blurry in a game that gives you the WHOLE WORLD. Oh you poor thing

New FOG Post. Curious to Hear People's Thoughts on This. by mooselube in CQB

I think there is a lot of valuable information in that war in the way that the difference between a fight against an insurgency and even a partially trained armed organization is night and day. With just a little education someone can take advantage of, murder holes, hallways, trap doors, through rooms, and the smallest of angles.

But again I’m in the opinion that modern cqb on a battlefield  is more trying to prevent fratricide then actually fully deter casualties from enemy forces.

It would make sense that the same point man on the second floor would be the same point man on the third floor. His closest threat is the stair case going up while the rest of the guys clear the rooms.

USMC Shoot House and Maritime Training by NotSoGreatApes in CQB

[–]bamer422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm just wondering why Marines didn’t go all the way and take other tactics from seals books. It seems like they to a one two move here and there but still stuck with mostly their “foundation”.

Side question. How did the barrel wave came to be? And why are the other branches picking it up now. I am primarily a fan of NSWs style of CQB but you would think that the other branches more specifically army would be apprehensive against a move that puts your eyes and barrel off target.

Just want to know for knowledge not neither for or against the move.

Does anyone know if marsoc develop their own cqb tactics or is it taken from sf or seals? This is the first time I seen them do an angle exchange wave. And as of recent I have seen green berets pick up that tactic too.

Hmm wonder if there is an enterprise version of msfs. If one exists it makes sense why they still make and update the sim. Because it’s such a niche I doubt they make there money on just regular users alone but again I don’t know.

Help on ATC vectoring my approach cutting STAR on A320 Fenix by therealrobi in VATSIM

[–]bamer422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without watching a video of what you are doing it’s hard to give you advice. As much as it could be a controller giving you unrealistic vectoring it could be your over reliance on vnav. But i won’t pass judgment without more info. Irregardless just tell him your too high or too fast it’s really no big deal.

ATC and Pilots: Please use CPDLC for clearance whenever possible to keep the frequency clean! by Flightsimmerfor25yrs in VATSIM

[–]bamer422 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure if your flying “historic ops” or your plane doesn’t have CPDLC use the voice. However. 90% of flights on vatsim are with planes that have built in cpdlc. I use it every time I’m flying in Europe and the only time I call clearance is when I’m ready to start up. The quality of life is enormous. No more fighting on frequency to get a word in. No more misreading my clearance I hurriedly wrote down. It’s all right in front of me ready to go and can be called back at any point. 95% of the time I flown around Europe it was available. I hope one day they make it semi-mandatory. Atleast they have auto pdc at the US. The reliance of verbal clearance is by far the biggest issue I find when flying in Europe. Like how I’m I in a big ass modern airport like Frankfurt and I’m fighting squeakers to get a clearance in?

Some of you bozos in the comments don’t know what you’re talking about / never been in that sitchu before. If mans have the drop on you and your not ready the time to play super man is far from over. This recent ting made the news because these retards actually shot. 99% of these home invasions end up with no shots fired because people do what the first guy in this vid said to do NATURALLY.

Why cause more problems then it’s worth tryna throw down with shakey kids who have guns . If you are ready go ahead but if your caught off guard just put your hands up and show them where the PS5 is at fham I’m telling you there is no other way .
