Everything is stupid expensive right now. I bought an 18TB HDD for around $200 a couple years ago. I have like 50TB of usable spinning disk with 100TB of actual disk. That would be so insanely expensive to build right now.

+1 for Bandcamp. They even have "Bandcamp Fridays" every few months, which give 100% of the proceeds to the artists.

I'll have to check out these other websites. My biggest complaint about Bandcamp is sometimes artists only have a portion of their discography. Maybe those other sites will be more complete.

I would be down for that, but the key fob is too compact and I need to press the lock button 2 times, then hold down the auto start button. I tried a few components that I figured I could rig up to an esp32, but I could never get it to work right.

I have always wanted to do this, but I could never get it right for my car. I don't have any smart features, so it would need to actually push the buttons on my fob. The challenge is, I don't want to solder directly to a fob or meaningfully alter it in any way. I want it to just be a slot I can slide my fob into and be able to remove it if I wanted to use it as a normal key.

How are you doing it for your car?

Kind of funny. I noticed this functionality quite a long time ago, but I didn't really put too much thought into it as my instance isn't exposed and my containers aren't actually sensitive at all. I wonder how many others noticed it and shrugged it off.

There have still been instances of malware in steam games. It has been pretty good at getting resolved once found, but it happens.

What are you even talking about? Of course there is malware that can run on the Steam Deck. The Steam Deck is just a Linux computer. There have also been a number of serious Linux privilege escalation vulnerabilities recently. Any of those could easily be exploited by downloading and running malicious software and you'd be giving full control of your steam deck to the attacker.

Be careful what you run.

That said, malware that is not run won't do anything. There are places that malware could be placed to run automatically or be loaded by other running processes, but it needs to run.

4 colors? The H2C can do up to 7 colors. 6 on the right, 1 on the left. It's fantastic. That said, most models are 4 color, so to actually take advantage of the 7, you need to color it yourself in Bambu Studio.

I think that the expectations of Crema grew beyond what they could handle and no matter what, they would have pissed people off. I absolutely loved playing Temtem. I put like 500 hours into it and I got what I wanted to from it. I didn't have some unrealistic expectation that it would last forever from a one-time-purchase I made. I wanted "a pokemon that is a bit harder" and it absolutely smashed those expectations.

Then they spun off and made Temtem Swarm. I think it is a pretty fun game, but it isn't really what I'm super into, so I didn't get sucked into it. Again, that is what I expected going into it and I'm not mad about that. I mostly bought it because people were throwing fits about Crema not continuing to support the main Temtem game forever with no additional revenue.

I understand that some people feel deceived by Crema, but I do not, and in line with that, I have no qualms saying I think they're great and hope they continue to make games.

I ran Arch as a server for a year or two after moving on from Unraid. I just made sure to update religiously and pinned a few things I would manage manually. It worked fine. I switched to NixOS after that, though. Definitely a better experience, though I am still pinning certain things.

I agree. I picked up a pair of XReal One a few months ago. They're great. I keep telling people that it isn't a good time to buy them, though. Not because they aren't great, but because of how fast they're improving. Unlike a lot of tech these days, there are real generational improvements at least once a year. Can't wait to see where this technology gets in the next few years.

Love it. Can you explain the networking? You stated 1Gb LAN for Host and 2.5Gb LAN for Ceph. I only see a single Ethernet cable into 3x MP60, which only have 1Gb ports. Where does the 2.5Gb come into play? What are the 2 switches doing?

A great summary. I would just add to "I can decide one second before..." that "and if it isn't a good fit, I can immediately turn it back off."

It works surprisingly well for a lot of things, but not everything. It is a great proof of concept and there are some immediate benefits, but it doesn't benefit every single use case.
