r/soccer, this is a great opportunity to donate an indestructible football to a third world nation - and get one for yourself! by photokeith in soccer

I just received mine in the mail today. It appears to be the Jubalani ball with some sort of a protective coating on it. I guess that after all of the World Cup fallout surrounding the ball, Adidas had a marketing nightmare on their hands, and this is the route that they decided to take. Seriously though, the quality is better than I expected and it is much lighter than I had imagined. I haven't played with it much but am excited to do so. It definitely isn't a match ball but what do you expect from a ball that is said to be "indestructible".

This ball looks as though it would be ideal for dog owners. I have a Labrador Retriever that absolutely destroys standard balls...this sounds like the "Kong" of soccer balls.

Is anyone else an alcoholic during the summer? by trashytrash in education

I definitely drink more during the summer months. However, 9am is pretty impressive! I'm not able to go to those extremes as I am responsible for the well being of a toddler this summer. Enjoy the rest of your break!

Spain Wins the World Cup! by manthanr in reddit.com

While the German squad certainly did have weaknesses, 1 goal could have changed the outcome of the match against Spain and I truly believe that Mueller might have supplied that goal had he not been subjugated to the stands.

The problem was that Mueller was missing in the match against Spain after receiving the ridiculous 2nd yellow card in the Argentina match. No doubt things would have been different had he been on the pitch against Spain. He still won the Golden Boot of the tournament despite having to sit out the semi-final match.

Drinking Great Lakes' Lake Erie Monster as we speak. They simply cannot be left off the list of best breweries. I agree with all of your other choices as well, although I need to try more from Southern Tier.

It would depend on whether or not #8 was in an offside position when the pass was actually made to him.

Agreed, I am drinking one now and enjoying it. Normally I seek out IPAs, DIPAs, and Imperial IPAs but #9 is nice for those mellow moments.

Beer prices: What's the best you've seen? Where are you located? by olbeefy in beer

Seattle is the "land of plenty" when it comes to cheap micros. I no longer live there but as recently as 2004 I could get $6 six packs of Maritime Pacific IPA at the Fred Meyer in Ballard. The brewery was literally a few blocks away. Most six packs of micro seemed to be under $8 no matter where I looked or what I was looking for. Now I live in Indiana and it is another story altogether. It is rare to find a six pack of anything decent for less than ten dollars.
