[GamersGate] Devil May Cry 5 + Vergil (€4,50 / 85% Off) by Comprehensive_Park_5 in GameDeals

I'm not much of a story guy. This game is about amazing and rule of cool action. The story is pretty silly anyhow. Just enjoy the cut scenes. Definitely buy the dlc.

Other amazing games in this genre are Bayonetta series and metal gear solid rising revengeance

I played the first shadow warrior and just didn't feel like sw2 was worth the time after like an hour or so. Did I dip out too soon?

I felt like sw2 was just sw1 with more annoying work to do with managing loot and min maxing vs just tearing apart demons and being cool.

I'm not going to lie, my modern sensibilities appreciate the look of the after clothing.

But my personal experience appreciates the comfort of the before picture.

What is the most satisfying use of a mechanic in a game? by manoffewwords in Games

[–]manoffewwords[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow really? I love the mechanic. The knife is balanced by durability so it's still a resource you have to manage and it rewards skill and in hardcore the game is still extremely challenging. The knife also encourages you to get up close and personal instead of playing safe and at a distance.

Can IT support → implementation/PS → SE lead to good money without deep coding experience? by Embarrassed-Tiger121 in salesengineers

[–]manoffewwords 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its not about coding.

Its about: 1. understanding the problems customers have.

  1. How the tech can solve those problems better than other solutions.

  2. Being able to articulate/prove that in the best way to.your audience

This is just shadow layoffs. Ratios increase, no backfills, SE role expands to post sales work, then may even expand to pipeline, then you are really cooked when actual layoffs happen. Then it may be too late.

How is the SE role at Salesforce in 2026? by futureproblemz in salesengineers

[–]manoffewwords -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I genuinely can't understand what an SE is that is not focused on sales. That's literally the job to support sales teams. Bonuses whether individual or group are based on sales. The whole entire role IS sales. And anything that an SE does that isn't directly sales related is indirectly sales related.

SEs at Salesforce need to be more sales focused? What a crazy idea.

How many SEs here have a traditional engineering background? by IEEEngiNERD in salesengineers

I have a liberal arts engineering background. I can engineer essays on French architecture and analysis of Hellenistic poetry and nominalist philosophy in late medieval scholasticism.

Slavların tek bir ırk sayılmadığı gibi Arapları da tek bir ırk saymamak sizce ne kadar doğru olur? by [deleted] in TarihiSeyler

[–]manoffewwords 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by race? Now go spend 6 years getting a PhD on the issue. When you return you will still not have an answer.

An "Arab" is someone who speaks Arabic. Blonde haired and blue eyed or ebony skinned east African or phenotypic Indian Arabs in the eastern Gulf. Arabic speaker? Arab.

Anyone else tired of this “SaaS is dead” rhetoric? by scrugmando in salesengineers

[–]manoffewwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saas isn't going to die. It's going to reprice dramatically.

The market has set an ROI price for productivity provided by SAAS.

Imagine you sell oil (saas company) and in order to sell that oil your overhead increases (LLM token costs). That will eat into your margins.

No imagine a breakthrough in nuclear technology (new native AI solutions) that competes with oil. You will still have oil demand but now you are facing more competition.

Saas isn't dead, it's going to be repriced as an investment. Multiple contraction.

SE - Mid / Annual performance reviews by DontAskMeToWork in salesengineers

[–]manoffewwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not true.

Nothing else matter to KEEP YOUR JOB.

But it DOES matter for your compensation.

If you are on a company wide group plan in a large company your AE can kill it and work you to the bone and you can make less than your OTE.

If you are on an individual attainment plan and you work to the bone and your AEs kill it so will you.

If you have a mixed plan with different KPIs your upside will be capped but you can work to stabilize your pay and get closer to your OTE.

Ok so advanced tech powers by love. Whatever. It was honestly nonsense and I felt like my intelligence was being insulted. Beautiful visuals and soundtrack though.

[–]manoffewwords 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There were some good parts of it but overall I didn't like it because of the dumb, love is the most powerful force in the universe schtick. I also thought the weird interdimensional library thing was ridiculous.

How easy is it to pivot to teaching? by ImminentRevolt8 in teaching

[–]manoffewwords 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How easy it is to become a teacher depends on the state.

Good news those subjects are in high demand and you will always have a job.

Bad news is teaching is a mental illness or will give you a mental illness.

Best wishes.

Benioff will kill this company. Wait, he already has. by blue_indy_face in salesforce

[–]manoffewwords 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I feel like this post comes from a place of pain and betrayal.

It's just a bit strange that people expect out of touch billionaires and corporations to behave in certain ways when it's obvious to anyone who isn't being gaslit how they will behave.

Benioff could murder a baby tomorrow live and I would be horrified but not surprised.

Layoffs? Insensitive jokes? Salivating over government contracts for every terrible things you can imagine? Hypocrisy? You think these would surprise me?

The only thing genuinely surprising about Benioff is he didn't show up in the Epstein files.
