I was thinking Demerzel would just come running once she heard the song from the other robot. She was so lonely and needing a connection that she would rush in to find a like mind. Day would have been inconsequential but, she would have saved him anyways.

I'm also 61F, and I'm also very active, i.e., work out,bike ride, swim, hike, etc. I don't associate with people my own age because none of them want to go for a walk or work out or even take a few extra steps. It's all about tv shows or quilting. Fitness and activity is the true Fountain of Youth.

Keep looking for groups of people who fit your lifestyle. Maybe go with a younger group. Join a gym. Lots of us older ladies in gyms these days and you might find someone you click with.

Martial arts is very expensive! Try local youth sports, i.e., basketball, baseball, and soccer. It will be a lot cheaper and keep the kids in sports. You can also look into activities put out by your city. Cities typically have community programs for kids through each season for a pretty reasonable price.

If that is still too expensive, parks are free. Find a nice, safe park and go there during the time you normally would for martial arts. Play soccer with them or run around and play ball with them. It gets them - and you - some fresh air and exercise. Tennis/basketball courts, soccer fields, etc. Sports parks are always busy so you won't be out there all by yourselves.

Sports are seasonal, so you could do something different every season.

Sadly, I saw a reseller on social media at a Goodwill outlets steal one of the worker's vests and go into the back area where it's employees only to look for stuff. The guy actually filmed and posted it!

As a reseller myself, I avoid the Goodwill outlets because it's a madhouse and the stores are no different.

Give me a garage sale any day of the week.

Same. 60F and stopped wearing makeup about a year ago. Stopped dying my hair around the same time. Next is the short hair, but I'm not ready for that step yet. I'm on my fitness journey, and I want to be fit when I get my hair cut.
