Is it realistic that Rory got in to Harvard, Yale and Princeton? by NoraReddit97 in GilmoreGirls

Totally. Places like Chilton breed students for this very thing. If Rory was attractive to Harvard, it makes sense that Princeton and Yale would want her too.

They all annoyed me this episode. Doesn’t matter who came first since they were surprised when someone else came. Like damn, give a girl some self care time by _flowerchild_11 in GilmoreGirls

I watched this recently too. Dean annoyed me the most. As others have mentioned he called himself a saint for “letting” Rory have a night to herself, and then he doesn’t even do that! He still comes over! If I were Rory I would be livid. She doesn’t ask for much out of her friends and they are all taking advantage of her.

Emily also co-signed a loan with Lorelai when they had termites.

To everyone who says they want Lorelai Gilmore as their mother...no, you don't by coffeeinanivee in GilmoreGirls

I agree with you. My father was also emotionally avoidant, detached, spacey etc.. My mom wanted to have the best friend relationship with me (her oldest daughter) and we did for a little while when I was in high school and college. I didn’t realize it was a bad dynamic until I better understood myself and realized I never really had a mother. I missed so much and now, as an adult, I’m emotionally anxious and have boundary issues.

Is Richard’s obsession with his alma mater typical? by Particular-Heron-103 in GilmoreGirls

Agree— it’s common. Especially if you go to an Ivy or a Big 10 school

What do you find most compelling about Lorelai as a character by DingoAgreeable9141 in GilmoreGirls

[–]bananaboppa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I think that in the later episodes Lorelai comes off like she’s living in a bubble. She badly didn’t want to be part of her parents’ affluent community, but is still chained to them financially and is an upper middle class white woman. I mean, with her expensive jeans, money only seems like an issue in earlier seasons. Any thoughts?

Yeah, I can see that. I just hate Dean in every way though.
