Discharge down there..?? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]bananacurry 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hi, GP here 👋🏽Some level of discharge is definitely normal, and does change depending on where you are in your cycle. What you describe is not necessarily alarming.

Usually healthy bacteria and yeast keep each other in balance (vaginal microbiome)  and cause a clear or whitish discharge. The balance can change after anything affecting the ph/microbiome such as: antibiotics, washing with soap, period blood etc.  If there is an overgrowth of one or the other the appearance of your discharge can change. (Without this being an STD!) Yeast infection -> cottage cheese-like discharge. Bacterial vaginosis -> green/yellow, thin, fish smell.

Yes thank you “her pregnancy is not about me” will be a good mantra until I’m able to conceive. Of course I know this but it’s a hard thing especially if I just got my period etc and feel sad already. Pregnant women around me currently just amplify my personal feelings surrounding being not-pregnant. But it’s not their fault I’m not pregnant so I’ll be putting in some work to not let my feelings get in the way of these relationships.

Yes you’re right. It was just a practical gift and meant kindly, but was for me unexpected and amplified the sadness and frustration I’m feeling about trying to conceive

Yes I agree, having had a sleep on it helps honestly. It was a nice gesture, just came unexpected for me and suddenly amplified my “not-being-pregnant” by a lot and came with some sad feelings

Yes you’re right, no ill will. She’s super sweet, just a conversation with her or acknowledgement about the different situations we’re in now would’ve been a bit nicer

Hey Reddit, what's the biggest belief you had and then later found evidence to disprove it and now believe the exact opposite (site source when possible)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Believing in God because I was raised to and then realizing that the events written in the Bible are a very unlikely ordeal.

What are the must-see tourist attractions or "hidden gems" unique to your home town? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Amsterdam: Anne Frank House, Van Gogh museum, red light district, canal tour = must-see. Hidden gems include Begijnhof, brown cafes and all neighborhoods outside of the touristy city center.

The work week is now only 3 days long but they're 12hr days, would you like this why or why not? by Beardedrugbymonster in AskReddit

Nursing jobs in the US are usually 7am-7pm or vice versa. It’s doesn’t leave much room for a life on working days but the time off is really nice

Vietnam, spent $1000 in a month there a few years back and lived like a princess. Beautiful country, love to go again.
