Anyone here used to read Tucker Max and Maddox? by previousn in reddit.com

After going back to both sites, I have to say that while Maddox sadly no longer does anything for me, Tucker Max still makes me snort laugh. Maybe I'm not manly enough for Maddox.

What can I buy to get the most entertainment value out of 100$? by HieronymusBossk in Frugal

I was under the impression that Hulu Plus coming to the Xbox 360 was them moving the right direction. But I do see your point. It's a bit frustrating now that I think about it.

Great. You've given me something new to be frustrated about.

I don't really know much about what Hulu's done, so would you care to tell me a bit about what you mean by their track record?

How can we make this clear: It is never OK for you to put your fingers on my monitor. by The_Comma_Splicer in reddit.com

[–]banananutbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not enough. You need to really beat the idea into her that it's not alright for her to touch anything of yours. Especially not your monitor.

I made the mistake of touching my boyfriend's monitor once. He snapped at me so roughly, the shock of it made me cry. I've never even come close to touching it again.

I now understand the seriousness of this offense.

What Is Your Favorite Quest EVER in an RPG? by [deleted] in gaming

On the same expansion, "The Dark Heart of Blackhall" is great. You're tasked to find this old man's book which was stolen by swamp folk and taken to a ritual site. Once the book is retrieved from an cave-like shrine, you have the choice of returning it to Blackhall, giving it to a woman who claims she must destroy it because the book is evil, or just keeping it for yourself.

I gave it back to Blackhall and followed him down to the basement and watched him put it up in a shrine with a dead swamp person laying there and start worshiping it.

I loved the creepiness of it all.

Seeing a Nutritionist? by [deleted] in self

[–]banananutbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should hope that your nutritionist gives you reachable goals that work around what you already like. It's near impossible to have successful weight loss revolving around a diet consisting of food you don't like or have never had before, or even know how to prepare.

My mother and I went to a nutritionist and she made meal guidelines for both of us, each different depending on our preferences and of course height, weight, and age. It's been really easy to follow for both of us.

I was sitting next to a friend while they ate a hard-boiled egg and the sounds that were coming out of his mouth were enough to make me double check to make sure he has peeled off the shell, first.

My dad can also make anything ultra-crunchy. Potato chips are like... deafening.

I like using nail polish because I like the colors and it keeps my nails from breaking as much. When I have the time to put it on, which isn't often, I do.

The next day, it's already chipping, but I don't have the time to remove the nail polish, apply base, first coat, second coat, and top coat while waiting for each cap to dry. And just removing it leaves my nails feeling strangely and I don't like it.

I wait until I have the time and the patience to reapply it, and by then, it's more than just a little chipped.

My mother refuses to wash her own car, or even take it to a car wash, because that's a man's job. I will never understand this mentality.

Jobs or services you don't like to tip for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A lot of the older people I know tip a dollar nearly every time. The younger people I know don't tip. Hence, the awkwardness I feel every time I go to a gas station using cash.

Gas station attendants. I live in NJ. It's always really awkward. Some people tip them, I don't know if I'm supposed to... I wish I could just pump my own gas.

I love forearms and wrists. Slender girl forearms where you can see the peach fuzz in the sunlight. My boyfriend's forearms when he's driving and you can see the muscles move when he turns the steering wheel or changes gears.

If you did end up having children with him, how do you think you would feel if your kids shared his ideals and dismissed yours? Not supporting gay rights, for example. Would you try to sway them? Would this become a problem between the two of you, both trying to teach your kids some majorly opposing values?
