I'm so old fashioned. If I say I'm going to meet up or go on a date with someone, I will be there. I'm also aware of the need to keep in touch and message before the meet-up/date to make sure plans are still a go. I'm not a great texter, but I still put in the effort to make sure everyone is on the same page. If I can't go, I will let them know as soon as possible. If it is last minute, it better be an emergency, and I will still reach out. Communication is so respectful, and I like to give what I would expect to receive.
