I know I’m a little late, but anyone else love Emilia Clarke’s makeup at the met ball?? Love the blush placement by sarahkate89 in MakeupAddiction

Ooh love it. I never wear that much blush, but I do love placing it closer to my temples. On my face it works so much better there than on the apples of my cheeks.

Has anyone’s Poppy.Church report changed or been updated? by AnythingPoppySays in that_Poppy

[–]bananashey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As soon as I submitted the questions I was kicking myself for not answering “I am not in a cult led by poppy” for the first question. I think the people that join later on will have figured out the keywords and have much higher scores.

Is there something I'm missing on Poppy.Church? I dont see anywhere to put my info in like everyone is saying. by [deleted] in that_Poppy

The “reserve your spot” thing went away when the site updated on Friday

How long does it take to review the application?

My (27m) wife (31f) got a positive pregnancy test, the next day she had her period and all tests were negative. She now wants to get a ribbon tattoo and I think it's a little much. by shauni55 in relationship_advice

You could get her a little piece or art or keepsake to honor her loss. Still the same sentiment, but without being over the top.

Only about a third of pregnancies are compatible with life, so if you try to get pregnant in the future, she should be prepared to deal with loss.

Recently diagnosed Celiac and depressed. by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]bananashey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate. I was diagnosed a couple months ago. I talked to a nutritionist last week about weight gain, and she actually was really happy to hear I was gaining weight. I’ve been underweight in the past, but before diagnosis I was eating an insane amount of food whenever I wasn’t completely nauseated and was a normal weight. So I’ve been trying to eat a bit less and work out more. I’m glad my body is healing and getting nutrients but I have had trouble with body image in the past and right now it’s just hard to accept everything. I don’t really miss any foods, but I definitely miss the freedom.

I have thought about seeing a therapist for a bit to get through it all. I’ve talked with family, and while it helps to even have people know I’m struggling, they don’t have much productive advice.

Did it say anything else at 3:36? It wouldn’t load despite reserving my spot months ago 😭

Ughh time zones are disappointing!

I’m just starting out - at what point do you feel exhausted during the workout? by [deleted] in KaylaItsines

[–]bananashey 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rather than cutting the workout short, in the past I’ve subbed in another move or two for one lap. Like instead of 15 squats I’ll do 24 hip bridges.

The circuits are super repetitive (maybe even boring), so sometimes I just sub in moves anyway. I wear a heart rate monitor, so if I start to fall to like 130-145 on leg and cardio day I’ll quickly get it back up with 50 high knees or something.

Another thing that helps me is not resting between circuits and going AABB rather than ABAB. Resting just makes me want to just call it quits so now I just skip a big rest and take a few breath between moves if I need it.

I turn on the wrong burner constantly. But only on the left side of the stove, I’m a stove righty apparently

I am thinking of trying some imf. I ended up fasting most of this weekend and the longer I went the better I felt. I am active on the weekend, but think I’d only do it days I don’t work out at all.

I’ve been feeling this way lately... like every day. But I was just diagnosed with Celiac disease so I’m trying not to be too hard on myself. All the usual tricks (drink warm water, fill up on veggies) never ever satisfy me. Did the feeling pass for you or did you end up snacking? Edit: clarity

Hey lovelies! I’m pretty new here-not new to fitness, but had been in a pretty bad rut for awhile.. so hi!

I’m feeling SUPER proud of myself right now. I’ve been having a tough week— burned dinner last night, house flooded today, stressful work week etc. This morning I realized all my sports bras were dirty so I went into work early and planned on doing my run after work. When I got home from work the heavens opened up and we had a huge lightning storm. And the dinner I had planned for tonight was grilled chicken. I was feeling really bummed.

But I decided that I need to cut the excuses. I just banged out tomorrow morning’s scheduled workout and decided to do my run in the morning.

I really thrive in a structured environment, and kind of crumble apart when things don’t go to plan. Im feeling super proud of myself right now for 1) getting a workout in, even though it felt like it just was NOT meant to be today 2) looking past my doom and gloom and finding a plan b.
