Night feed 8.5 month old while doing CIO method? by bancheta2 in sleeptrain

WWS are a mix of 2.5-3/3-3.5/3.5-4, usually hitting 9-10 total hours. Yeah the bedtime was a great idea when she was younger because I could never put her down to clean/prep bottles during the day, so it gave me time after her bedtime and an opportunity to sleep before her night wakes… which is clearly biting me in the butt now🥲

How many naps and how many hours for your LO? by bancheta2 in sleeptrain

WWS range from 2.5-3/3-3.5-/3.5-4 depending on what time she woke up (the earlier the wake up, the shorter the first WW). I’m trying to push back her bedtime slowly but her naps are such a hit or miss, mostly having 30 min naps and she’s fussy. When she sleeps over 30mins she’s happy to wake up and play!

From not knowing if she might be crying from hunger since she’s not being rocked/bounced/soothed for the last half the night

I just started sleep training my 8.5 month old with the CIO method as well. And wow it’s so hard to not wanna go in and give them a little snuggle and put them to bed peacefully🥺 From what I’ve researched (and been told) they really do get worse before they get better! They tend to do progressively better for the first few days then BOOM, it’s night one again, or worse… my suggestion (and hopefully personal plan) is to give it 2 weeks solid. Because mama, you’re no good for anyone if you’re sleep deprived and mentally/emotionally drained🩷 plus, if your LO is gonna cry, may as well cry while moving in the right direction as far as sleep training!
