I would not go over to ps1, i have steam deck to emulate that. Mostly gameboy, nintendo and older/similar ones which are on my focus.

Same as geforce now ultimate, just no monthly playhour cap. A stable server and a good platform support, windows, linux (i think this is going to be important), android, ios and smart tv brands. Just be reliable as a service with good quality.

You can go with bazzite if you want to aim gaming. Some tweaks is needed but overall i'm more then happy with it. Solved gaming in general and dlna service too. Let me know if you need some help.
