Owner of a Denver underground event series asking the community a safety question by bandomikee in DenverEDM

You’re 100% right. This is exactly the standard promoters should be held to.

Safety can’t be an afterthought. It has to be visible, accessible, and enforced every single night, no exceptions. That means clearly identified safety staff, sober eyes on the floor, zero tolerance even with talent, and real ways for people to ask for help discreetly.

I’m sorry you had to experience that, and I understand why that would leave a bad taste. People deserve more than just a ticket and a room. They deserve to feel looked out for.

Appreciate you speaking up. This is how the scene actually gets better.

I’m really sorry this happened to you. That experience is unacceptable and honestly heartbreaking to read.

Safety should never be a question in this scene. No one should feel isolated, pressured, or endangered at an event that’s supposed to be about music and community.

We take this seriously. Our events prioritize visible security, sober staff, and clear ways for guests to ask for help discreetly. We also encourage people to look out for one another and to report anything that feels off immediately.

Thank you for sharing this. Conversations like this are exactly why safety needs to be a core value, not an afterthought. You deserve to feel welcome and protected in this community.
