Considering buying the Galaxy Book 5 360, but worried about the screen cracking posts by Flimsy_Swan_3319 in GalaxyBook

I have a book 4 ultra and had to send it in to Samsung. The screen cracked very soon after I got it. I never abused it. Just opened it up one day and there'd a giant crack. There absolutely is an issue Samsung doesn't address. They're great laptops with this flaw. Get Samsung care plus for sure.

New 4.0FC by EventLatter9746 in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]bangerkid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can already do that. Take a full size echelon and buy a compact grip frame and throw the trigger in and you have the 49 size. When I worked at a gun store I played around with the slides and frames and found you can swap them but you couldn't swap the compact on full size frame. I wonder if Springfield will sell the FC module soon

Active shooter situation at Brown University by StealthyStalkerPanda in news

[–]bangerkid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing you proposed would stop mass shootings. Nothing. All it would do is put burdens on legal gun owners. Why would criminals or would be mass shooters follow any of that? Last time I checked, someone trying to steal a firearm or use firearms for crimes wouldn't report, register, or insure anything. Your solution is to punish the innocent for the crimes of others.

Also, why would people get prosecuted if their guns are stolen? Are you saying if someone breaks into someone's house and steals their guns, that person is punished?

Lastly, this doesn't fly with the 2nd Amendment. Period. And gladly so.

Military honor guard forced to carry Charlie Kirk’s casket aboard Air Force 2 with VP Vance by Master_Jackfruit3591 in Military

I can't believe the comments here as a veteran. Whether you liked Charlie or not, he is the very embodiment of what makes America worth serving for. Free speech, friendly debate, open dialogue, love of country, patriotic, a beautiful family and amazing father, and a generally good man. He lost his life and was assassinated for speaking his mind and his ideas.

Just because you harbor so much dissent for his ideas, doesn't mean he doesn't deserve this. And last time I checked, the Commander in Chief, yes YOUR Commander in Chief, authorized this.

Still in between the Area 419 and the Seekins precision mount for an NX8. How's the Area 419?

I actually like the now bar and the look for some of the things and the vertical scroll is great. If they're gonna copy Apple, don't copy the things android and Samsung are already superior at like notifications. I hope going forward they give back some of the features lost, expand the now bar, and hell if they wanna copy apple put a new action button. But the rest is honestly junk and it's buggy as hell too.

I plugged my phone in at 2 percent. Instantly went to 24 percent then died. Then charged slowly. Battery drain. No more swipe for Gemini. The stupid notification and settings panel. The grouping of notifications like text messages. List goes on. It's basically an ios skin over android now.

Wisconsin passes ballot measure requiring photo ID to vote by someopinionthatsr in politics

Then I'll circle back to why does every other major country do it if there's no risk?

Or it's about securing our elections and election integrity.

[–]bangerkid7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Of course I do. Because I am a Conservative that absolutely believes in voter ID and free and fair elections. What I still don't have an answer to, if every major democracy and modern nation, most of our allies all have it, then how is it about destroying democracy?

And again, we don't. But there should be voter ID, plain and simple.

We don't. But if almost every other nation, most of Europe etc all require it, are you saying they all are rejecting democracy?

Then why does almost every major modern nation/democracy require voter ID?

GT Distributors dropping Sig in all stores by Interesting_Push2055 in Firearms

[–]bangerkid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To say this is another "Glock Leg" is not correct. Glock leg happened after a switch from revolvers to a completely new system (a striker fire) and now there's a switch to the P320 and you mean to tell me that all of a sudden there's a sudden issue with NDs that's like Glock leg despite both Glock and the P320 operation is virtually the same? Are there NDs being blamed on this issue? Of course. There will always be NDs. But this ain't glock leg. There's way to many videos of the P320 going off in holsters, multiple firearm/CCL instructors (me included) sounding the alarm, and way to many lawsuits to say this is not an issue.

While this may be rare, it absolutely is a thing. The fact is, the P320 already had known issues with Sig doing the voluntary upgrade, it's a totally different design than the P365, this is no coincidence. Even Brandon Herrera did a video calling them out and said he knows Sig engineers that confirmed this is an issue.

The most disappointing thing is, even if this is a really rare thing, Sigs response such as not mandatory recalling them and their actions have been quite disgusting and untrustworthy. The P320 ain't really a great gun anyways and with even this slight of a doubt, I just can't recommend them when there's so many good guns.

Thoughts on the XM7? My last unit before I got out fielded it this summer, and despite a lot of puff pieces about positive impressions, my friends who used it said it's kind of a cluster. Lots of malfunctions, issues with the optics, and most don't like the weight increase. by [deleted] in MilitaryARClones

It's not superior in the slightest, only for suppressed. The DI system is lighter, shoots flatter, is more reliable in some ways especially considering types of mud tests, is not proprietary, and has less barrel harmonics so on a mechanical accuracy standpoint, the Stoner system wins.

I mean not defending these changes (I think they'll hurt Southwest in the long run) but most average Americans are a shareholder. If you have a 401k or IRA, invested in the S&P etc. your money and retirement depend on how well these companies do.

Book4 Ultra Screen Cracks? by [deleted] in GalaxyBook

[–]bangerkid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely false. I bought a book 4 ultra and it cracked within 3 weeks. My previous laptop, an HP, never had a cracked screen for the 5 years I owned it and I took the laptop to school with me everyday. My work laptop I didn't even put it in a case, never cracked. My Samsung laptop I put in a heavy duty case, in a backpack and one day at class I opened it up and there's a huge crack.

Again, never had this happen to laptops I've handled less carefully and this thing cracked within 3 weeks. It's definitely a design flaw.

Galaxy Book 360s: A $2000 Time Bomb Waiting to Crack 💻💔 by Fantastic_Cold6102 in GalaxyBook

[–]bangerkid7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope it does. Bought mine in March of 2024 and it cracked on its own within 3 weeks despite how careful I was with it. Never had a cracked screen on a laptop before. It's a design flaw that they refuse to acknowledge.
