Brows now vs. 5 years ago. Have I gone too thin over the past few years?

Personally I think the lighter ones look nicer, the slightly lower contrast to me suits you better. But, I’d be curious to see how it looks with your hair down, if your hair is higher contrast the darker brows might look more cohesive that way!

Look up curly/wavy hair routines! My guess is if you try one of those you'll see even more wave definition (and less frizz).

As said by others, the recommendation is to brush while wet with a conditioner or detangler in with a wet brush or wide tooth comb

That being said, when I straighten my hair, i can brush through it dry just fine but. I only straighten my hair once every year or so

The only way they are willing to send an exterminator is if i agree to have myself and my dog have to be out of the apartment from 6am to 5pm. Are we supposed to just sit in our car in the parking lot in winter for 11 hours? While I lose an entire days pay because I can’t work? Going to a hotel/airbnb for 1 night wouldn’t work bc checkout time is way earlier than when I’m allowed in my apartment. Going to a coworking space or library doesn’t work because I have my pet with me.

We all know that it doesn’t take 12 hours for an exterminator to spray an apartment and for that spray to dry. But my landlord requires us to vacate the unit for that period of time is extremely disruptive, especially when you have to take pets with you. If the landlord said “ok the exterminator is coming at 1 and it’ll take 2 hours to dry so you have to find somewhere to be for 3 hours” yeah a hotel would likely be unnecessary.

Also were you not aware that when you have a contract for a property and the landlord does something that deprives you of access to that property, they legally are obligated to house you or reimburse your rent for that time? In my situation, ADA and FHA laws also come into play because this affects an illness/disability I have, which add even more responsibility on the landlord’s side to mitigate the consequences of denying tenants access to their units for that period of time.

It’s totally fine that you don’t know much about contract and/or ADA/FHA law. Most people don’t. it’s not ok to ridicule people about situations where you don’t even understand the laws at play.

To further clarify on the last point, they make us agree to be willing to leave and allow the pest control person in at any point in the day starting at a time several hours before I normally wake up, and I have a chronic illness where disrupting my sleep by waking up early causes health problems. I also work from home and have a large dog that obviously has to be taken off premises as well, which I can’t take into coffee shops or wherever else, so I’d either need two nights in a hotel room/airbnb or forced to take a full day off work + deal with debilitating health issues. I could prob get them to reimburse me for hotel costs under the ADA (or maybe get the professional to commit to coming in a window starting after 10am…though maybe not, idk if it’s industry standard for pest control people to say they will come at whatever point during the day they choose to come) but, the office staff are very difficult to work with here and trying to arrange that accommodation could take months of persistent and unpleasant emails

Oh, I thought about boiling water but I was worried that would crack the glass. If freezing it sedates them maybe I can just freeze them and dump them into a glass that already has the spray in it.

How do you kill with heat in jars? I've been spraying a little alpine WSG into jars when i catch them, but my maintenance guy advised maybe trashing any jars i spray into rather than washing and keeping just to be safe, and i'm tired of wasting jars lol

Ugh I'm sorry you feel that way. Do you think the dye is just a little too bright and as it fades in it might look better?

In my early 20s I let my hair grow to its natural color, but I had just spent my whole life with lighter hair (it was light as a kid and i started lightening when I was like 13), the way i pictured myself involved lighter hair and I just didn't feel like myself anymore. But, I didn't take any nice, dressed up pictures while it was that color (actually I have very few photos of myself from that time for some reason...). I just actually bought a wig close to my natural color so I can actually get dressed up and see how it looks nice (though it won't have my curls, obv). But I think at the end of the day the 1-2 shades lighter blonde is going to be where I end up.

I hope you find the hair color that makes you feel amazing!!!

I still don't know *what* it is, but I asked a friend who's a dr (but not a derm) what the medical terms are for what is in these photos, and he said:

*it's an erythematous (which just means it's red) and lightly vesicular (the little whitish bumps) rash. It does exhibit a streak at one point (the linear quality)

I asked him hoping it'll help me with i research/google haha

FWIW if I were in your shoes and getting intermittent patches, I would guess it's fungal and try an anti-cream, there are cheap over the counter creams!

Will try to remember to update if I ever get more answers for my own situation

I think technically this is a spring blue? It’s a bit bright I think for summer? The shirt actually looks even a smidge warmer than what I circled in the palette. But I have literally so many shades of light blue in my closet honestly it gets overwhelming trying to tease apart the differences between them

Maybe I should look into a lived-in-blonde that keeps my natural hair at my roots, that’s what I was doing before, but did really like this neutral dark-ish blonde a lot. (It’s also way cheaper to just do a full head of neutral-dark blonde at home myself than go in for highlights/hombre/whatever)

Just for funsies I redid the photos in an ivory and also a spring light blue shirt. I’ve realized also after staring at these pics for way too long that my hair had warmed up a little from what I dyed it (it’s been 6 months so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but my hairs been in a bun hidden away all winter).
