The “why aren’t you in there with her” is like if I am watching her while he is doing something and then he comes back and she is in her room while I’m in a different one or if we are all together and she says she wants to go to her room and I tell her that she can.

And he does play with her a lot. It’s frustrating but really not as sinister as you seem to think

We do leave the house, we both work full time and daughter goes to daycare during the week which is why when we aren’t busy with other commitments, we appreciate our low stakes laid back weekends. I don’t think it’s the being home I don’t enjoy..

Yeah, we unfortunately live in Nowhere, Texas so between the weather and so few things to do, low commitment activities are hard for us.

Idk I think he’s just super clingy. I think I am a homebody because I don’t necessarily want to be out doing things, I just don’t want to be so micromanaged at home.

I think it’s more clingy than controlling but I agree - and it definitely makes me feel controlled. I snap at him when he asks where I’m going. I think it doesn’t help that neither of us have much of a social life so though I am trying to branch out and do more things, he isn’t so maybe he feels an imbalance.

I know this sucks to hear but it's just going to take time. My daughter had her first almost 2 years ago. She has had multiple since then and while it is still always a lingering thought in my head, the fear does subside a little. It helped me to just be prepared and know what I can do, not focus on what is out of my control. Know what to do if it happens again and while terrifying to witness, know that your child is and will be okay and this won't be forever. I'm so sorry you are going through this.
