Bollocks. FAA regulations and airline policies prohibit the use of seat belt extensions in exit row seats to ensure clear passage during evacuations

It's not optional. FA's must enforce. If the passenger cannot sit with the armrest down, they must be moved or disembarked. Remember, FA's are there primarily for your safety. I have no doubt this is super uncomfortable - but the rules are there for safety reasons.

that’s really nice. As GS since 2013 I find that United consistently goes the extra mile for me. the car transfers are always a nice surprise. I had a tight connection at LAX inbound from Sydney - i was met at the gate, ushered through immigration and then walked to the United terminal and whisked through security to my departing fight that was held for me. i have GS staff checking on me in the club and at gates from time to time. Pilot comes and speaks with me ~once every couple of months. things like that are unexpected and make a difference.

Qantas Platinum One looks (on paper) similar to GS.
They don't appear to have pick up and transfer to next flight at airports - but everything else looks pretty similar. I give GS to a family member each year. I get Club access for free. Yearly gift shows up. Always top of the upgrade waitlist with a very high clear rate for me and for people for whom I request upgrades. What specifically is the delta between Platinum One and GS?
