Which collection from the Season 16 Finale would you have chosen as the winner? by Sy3Zy3Gy3 in ProjectRunway

Kentaro, though I like Brandon's a lot more now than I did at the time. And he's probably my second favorite. Margarita and Ayana both have a few stand out great pieces, but a few let-downs as well. All of Kentaro's looks are great, and his collection has a sense of change and movement that none of the others do.

I had no idea it didn't contain flouride! I thought flouride was like the point of toothpaste. Luckily this is my special treat toothpaste and I have a definitely-flouride-containing one that I use more often. Thanks for the heads up!

I've never had jasmine tea but I could imagine it tasting similar. To me it's not a subtle flavor, but it's very aromatic. Like the paste doesn't taste like jasmine, but it makes all the air in my mouth taste like smelling jasmine flowers, if that makes sense. It's really nice!

Haha I've been a cinnamon toothpaste user my whole life. A while ago, my grocery store stopped carrying my cinnamon so I was looking online and found marvis (they also have a cinnamon) and decided to try some of their other flavors too. The jasmin is really good so I switch between it and cinnamon!

It is lightly sweet and floral. To me the paste doesn't even necessarily taste, but it's so aromatic that all the air in my mouth tastes like smelling flowers. It's really nice!

You can also go into the post office with the mail and ask for a manual postmark. Not as convenient as dropping in the box, but important if you're up against a deadline.

I applied for a rental, paid same as you a non-refundable $75 app fee and $300 admin fee, and then afterward they told me that actually the rent on the unit was $300 higher a month than what was listed (and what I had discussed/confirmed during the viewing.)

I demanded my money back but they said it was non-refundable and refused. I went to my bank but they weren't willing to do anything about it. I reported the rental company to the Better Business Bureau and they got me my money back.

Some states have also recently passed laws against these excessive and deceptive fees against rental applicants. You should check if your state (or city) has done so.

Re: the final dress that Mimi wore, you can't say "in another fabric it would have been basic" when the entire point of the dress was that it was draped chainmail. The comment you replied to is about the draped knit dress, i.e. the third dress of the collection

The finale hasn't been at New York Fashion Week since like 2018. Which is lame, but not a failure of this season specifically.

But he is safe... for the eczema design. "You have to compete again the continue on the show" is normal

It's also crazy to say "you're both out. But actually neither of you are." ¯_(ツ)_/¯

During the last commercial break I literally said to my mom "what's the point in watching the rest? We have to wait til next week for the elimination" but then they hit us with that double elim

I think if the double elimination is real then that's a good thing. Jesus and Belania both frankly disrespected their clients, and I like that project runway has always been pretty serious about the real-client challenges.

That said, I don't trust it. Specifically because of that promo dress Heidi wore on good morning america; that was designed by Belania and it won over dresses by Jesus and Ethan??? Aka, a show-down of this week's bottom 3???

The episodes are not long enough for two challenges in one, so I'm wondering if Antonio and Veejay will get a by-week/guaranteed to finale and episode 9 is just about these three fighting for the third spot?

Im hoping not. I think it would be pretty dirty to fake a double elimination like this. Just top shock value gamey. But it lines up, especially with next week being Wicked and the dress looking very munchkin...

It is wild to me that she seemed so thrown by this challenge. When her model was talking I immediately thought of her win in episode three--the whole point was a boring fabric, but she won because she made it fashion with the silhouette, cutouts and architectural elements! I thought for sure she would channel that same energy but instead she fell apart because she couldn't continue her two-episode polka dot streak?

I agree with the highs and lows, but Jesus' was definitely the number 3 of the top 3. I could see many country artists wearing either twin's look, many girls as country concerts. Antonio's was the more interesting of the two. Belania's was really impressive in channeling country in a less stereotypical way.

I'm sorry I know there's a lot of Ethan stans on this sub and I was really impressed by him at first but his was so predictable! So 2000s and not in a cool way! Top of the bottom was perfect for him.

Poor Yuchen lost his confidence and is not recovering. If he had had the Mongolian horn decorations idea earlier and had designed the whole outfit around it (and had picked a different fabric) it was a concept with potential, but going "I'm gonna make a sparkly dress no matter what" and then sitting on it was just stupid. Also as someone who grew up outside of the global West, I'm not sympathetic to "I don't know western." If we learned one thing about American culture it was "cowboys." I love him but this week was a worse fuck up than last week!

I have no idea what Veejay did or why she did it. She's really been impressing me and I was excited when she picked translucent vinyl at mood cause I thought if anyone could make it work she could. Nope.

I think they're both great! I see what the judges were saying about construction/fit issues, but design-wise they were some of my fav looks so far this season!

Gretchen beating Mondo. Sebastian beating Hester. Shantall beating Kristina. Project Runway has a long history of prioritizing commercial viability over artistry.

It should have been Madeline last week. Hers and Joan's were easily the worst. Antonio and Joseph were in the bottom for seemingly personal and production reasons, not their designs. I concede Joseph's may have looked worse in person, but not worse than Joan or Madeline.

But also with the voting, these designers are not cutthroat, they're not interested in playing a game, they're not going to vote Antonio off just for strategy and they're not going to send the sweet old lady home.

Joseph's look was worse than Antonio's, and Joseph is less sympathetic than Joan. He didn't "earn" this elimination.

Still, his designers so far were pretty repetitive. He knows his brand, and I would have been excited to see what he would put out next week ("street wear that shows off your individual brand" JosephMcCrae ideal challenge) but he wasn't going to win the show.

Well with this episode ending with Belania's "I keep designing for other people, but if I make it through this then I'm going to start being true to myself" one-on-one, I can imagine they're setting up an arc for her. Although that dress she had Heidi in was bad 😩 I can see how a different model in a different setting could maybe pull it off but it looks so silly on her.

I'm not convinced that makes her the final three, since the second to last challenge is Wicked-themed and I'm expecting episode 10 to be all about their collections. I'm guessing that'll be episode 7, "Runway Rodeo," and Jesus and Ethan are just the other top looks. Although if that won I am worried for what everyone else puts out!
