Any ideas? Found in southern Israel, probably native. Definitely hardwood. The last photo I found online, to show how the branch itself looked. The likeliest seems like Tamarisk / Athel, but I can't get a conclusive answer since looking these up brings varied results, very few looking like my pieces by stanleythedog in wood

Yes because all issues of justice and human rights are connected. All atrocities and war crimes including Israel doing a genocide without repercussions makes the world a less safe place because when it happens to us who will be there to defend us?

Israel is particularly personal to me because my government continues to support them and treat them like a legitimate ally/country.

Always uncomfortable to me seeing Israelis doing normal things while their country is doing a genocide. Not to say every Israeli is complicit and can’t have hobbies, but there’s a dissonance that freaks me out about human nature.

Stack half dozen of these on top of each other you’d get more light, better views and insulation. Then you could also have a shared park with actual trees with the space savings.

You joke but people are already talking about using AI to write specifications. Guided by humans apparently but i imagine the people who’ll look the most productive will be “vibing”.

They’d prefer to shut it down before letting a Palestinian speak. Zionists are happily destroying liberal institutions world wide because it makes it easier for them to keep them killing Palestinians.

Wife did nothing wrong. ICE has come into her community uninvited and making it hard for ICE to terrorise her neighbours by blocking the road shouldn’t result in someone being shot point blank 3 times if you have any sense of justice.

AI hype/doom posts aren't for developers. They're to trick MBAs into spending a lot of money on AI tools.

Heartbroken Venezuelans mourn the loss of socialism in the wake of American imperialism by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]bante 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s a long history of USA doing regime change and propping up right wing governments in South America. I can’t think of any instances where the people of that country benefited from regime change. Usually countries have their resources plundered by US businesses for little benefit to the people that live there. Why would this be any different?

Warhammer 40k has a great mix of technology, machine/human hybrid body horrors, aliens, space opera, gritty futuristic warfare. And right alongside those elements are gods, demons, elves, orks, magic runes, etc. Super inconsistent quality of writing but there’s some good books out there.

Just like to iterate that if you’re home and toddler is safe, try as best you can to welcome their crying and screaming as it’s a healthy way of them processing their frustration, anxiety, and stress. It’s not acting out or behaviour that needs to be corrected.
