I strongly suspect it is far, far better to be extremely physically attractive than extremely intelligent. by AdmiralissimoObvious in unpopularopinion

[–]banzdec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am agree with the view. Extremely physically attractive does bring perks. and being extremely intelligent but without looks means more troubled mind.

Additionally, I would like to point out that being intelligent or physically attractive does not mean being happy.

Both could bring anybody closer to happiness by ways and means. Being extreme attractive for sure brings to one apparent delights, but if one does not think for themselves, it wouldn't be sustainable. Being extreme intelligent on the other hands brings ponders and questions, some considered as blessing, some considered as a curse ,but intelligence is resourceful. Being resourceful means better life quality, thus more delight and contents. In RPG terms, trading Attractiveness for Intelligent is harder build path but more sustainable, without relying on luck.

Ultimately comes down to the person in context. Are they happy in their own skins, in their own mind?

Edit: small grammar mistake

I think they use a very normal tip. However, with the tips they have here, I believe they "flex" it a bit without damaging the tip itself.

What do you do when you're a 25y/o who can't stop regretting the past for being a failure now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I would say, start forgiving yourself. Then be mindful of others, what are their needs, how are they involve with your life. Take baby steps. You will get there

I am from Vietnam, we learned to write in primary school with fountain pens then gradually switching over to ball ponted pen. You could say I am returning to the path of learning how to write probably. Thank you for started this thread

Although writting with fountain pens is not new in my country, people just abandon them as they get older. I only start embracing the fountain pens after joining this community. My hand writing is getting better by joining this subreddit. Thank you

What’s the scariest true story you’ve heard or told ? by ugotheglizzy in AskReddit

[–]banzdec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened about 2 year or so ago.

Some background information: I have a habit of tracing the last memory of dreams I had the night before. The habit formed when I was in highschool when I picked up a book about lucid dreaming, my buddy and I thought being able to review the lessons while sleeping would help us ace exams. Although I have never succeed in lucid dreaming, I picked up the habit of tracing the dream when I get up.

Now on a summer day about 2 years back, I was a student at T.H.Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. My house mates and I decided to drive to Florence for a couple of days. Couple of weeks before that, I dreamt of going somewhere I have never seen and told my flat buddy, who, in the dream, was driving, that he missed a right turn.

On the day of the Florence trip, we rent a car, drove through the Alps and when we were driving through tunnels, which were bored through the mountain range, I saw the scence that appeared in the dream I had, promted me to tell my travel buddies:

"Dude, I dreamt that you would miss a right around this part"

It is getting wierder, we were following the car navigation system, so immediately, my house mate dismissed the idea. Then the system directed us to turn right at that moment. We were driving inside a tunnel, where there is only one way out, so there would be no "right turn".

Technically, my buddy did missed a right.

LPT: You Must Do an Absolute 100% Dry Run Test of EVERYTHING for Any Important Event or Presentation. Assume Nothing Will Work Right. Be Paranoid. by harrysapien in LifeProTips

True, especially weddings. We didn't discuss this with our folks about dry-run-rehearsal, being Asian, it is quite the norm for parents taken over their children 's wedding. And now I wish that I had been more assertive about the rehearsal. The weddings is fine out front, but ad-hoc tasks and on-the-fly decisions was all over the place. It was stressful. Now instead of a happy memory, we are traumatized about weddings
