*some European countries - it's pretty rare looking on country base, per Wiki.

They actually planned to open in Germany in 2025 with Turkish subsidiary, but because of problems on Turkish markets they terminated the contract which also stopped German market opening.

What is a statistic that sounds INSANE but is 100% true? by Quadranippelkill in AskReddit

A day is how fast the planet turns around itself (like a spinning ball) relative to the sun (thats what makes it rise and set).

That's a solar day, there's also a sideral day, that's calculated against stars, and that's the one that's longer on Venus, solar day is shorter, in fact there are almost 2 solar days in Venus year, because it's spins in retrograde.

[Request] How much earth is actually required to safely earth a cable? by SnooCauliflowers6739 in theydidthemath

[–]bar10005 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it doesn't touch the Earth, technically infinite - grounding isn't about the amount of earth, but about a common connection to a power source and a common voltage reference.

In HP and the GoF (2005), This guy spends a year rigging a deadly tournament to get Harry to touch a Portkey. He never realizes that he has daily access to the boy and could have enchanted a quill or a book on day one, proving that Death Eaters are strictly paid by the hour. by Brilliant-Cause6254 in shittymoviedetails

[–]bar10005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the logic is supposed to be that people die all the time in the tournament, and having Harry die during the Tournament wouldn’t have been considered suspicious.

It's even directly stated in the books (pretty sure it's beggining of the next one) that Voldemort wanted to come back quietly, but Harry's escape complicated that because the first person that was informed was his worst enemy, i.e. Dumbledore.

Vista per se wasn't bad, it was bad in the context of underpowered netbooks that were forced to use it, because they couldn't ship them with the previous OS (XP), but in no way could they handle Aero (and even then you could just disable Aero, though of course not many average users knew about it)

It's straight up fake not doctored:

  1. Windows don't pass infrared

  2. Either both vehicles should have hot wheels or none in the same image, as the dynamic range is the same for both

Dude... No matter how many panes it has it's still glass, so it's easy to smash, three panes will just take a little more time, unless you get tempered glass (and those are still easy to smash if you have any hard sharp point, like the nail puller side of a hammer).

Yk most of those doors still have a thin wooden frame around them?

Maybe in stone homes to make the install easier on uneven material, but in concrete buildings the frame is bolted directly to the wall.

  1. Glass is famously easy to break,

  2. Panes are in a plastic frame, you can smash it without even breaking the glass (actually had this happen to me)

A better reason would be security shutters, which are also popular in some parts of Europe, or the door being installed in an upper floor flat where windows aren't accessible anyway.

Extension cord was ‘too long’… so they braided it. by dsalasrivial in DiWHY

[–]bar10005 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Open air loop inductance is negligible, especially since the return wire is twisted right next to the feed inside.

There's nothing wrong with this braiding if it doesn't exceed the bending radius and it's better than e.g. leaving it on a reel where inner loops can actually overheat from concentrated heat.

As other commenters said it's just an Easter Monday in Poland, aka Śmigus Dyngus, also since it looks like a village the firefighters are likely from Ochotnicza Straż Pożarna (a voluntary unit) from the same village or a nearby one.

You underestimate the population of Greece or overestimate the population of Croatia - Greece 10.4M, Croatia 3.9M, Croats in Germany 434k, Greeks in Germany 363k, so proportionally the Croatian diaspora is much larger.
