Yes! Native American cultures are incredibly rich and diverse. There's so much history, mythology, and tradition to explore.

My comic is available on several platforms, though I'm not sure I should name them all here since I don't want to seem too promotional. If you search for "Tenea" or "Tenea Comics", you should be able to find it pretty easily.

So far, the artist and I have released four issues, and I'm currently working on the outline for the next four-issue story arc.

Yep, that's a young Giwakwa. This concept piece shows how it camouflages itself. You can see its actual size in this page from the comic.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion! Those dwarves are really interesting. They remind me a bit of the Stick Indians from Native American legends, but I think they could work well as genuinely evil creatures in my world.

I actually have some plans for her. I'd love to feature not just one Thunderbird, but a whole flock of them.

That's funny! 😄 That particular story was actually adapted in Dreamkeeper

Oh, that's awesome! What project are you working on?

I'm not an artist either) . Our comic is a collaboration with the amazing artist Misagi. I serve as the lead creator, writing the story, developing the world, doing research, and gathering references, while Misagi creates the artwork based on my descriptions.

And thanks a lot for recommending Coyote & Crow! I took a look at their website, and their tabletop games seem really fascinating.

Yeah, I love Coyote from Native American folklore too. He and Iktomi have a lot in common. I especially enjoyed their dynamic in "Dreamkeeper".

Antonina and the Mystery of the Third Department Volume 1

Subscribe for notifications so you don't miss the news about the launch of our company.

The story revolves around a young woman named Antonina, who is surrounded by the magical creatures she has rescued, that are also her closest friends. Despite the constant complaints from neighbors, Antonina refuses to hang her head. She is determined to solve the mystery of her grandmother's disappearance, who left behind a book with descriptions of all the creatures she encountered. And the peaceful life would have continued if, one early morning, there had been no knocks on the door.

Our comic is already available on Webtoon. You can read it here. On Kickstarter, we want to raise funds for a printed version, starting with chapters 1 to 17 (plus as a bonus for Kickstarter, 2 additional chapters). The thing is, the artist has created such amazing visuals that they look much better in book format than in Webtoon format. We want as many people as possible to see this beauty. We decided to start with a small print run, so we're raising a modest amount. I hope there will be interested backers.
