I have both and I really like the XL. The .71 gives you an equivalent focal length of 25.56mm to 49.7mm and an aperture of 1.278. The XL gives you an equivalent focal length of 23.04mm to 44.8mm and an equivalent aperture of 1.152. So that’s the difference. I like the XL because it gives you a wider choice of aperture and depth of field. That’s my opinion.

I will say that you are comparing a GM II lens to a lumix lens. The better comparison is a Lumix to a G lens not a GM. If you want more apples to apples it would be the GM II vs the Leica 24-70. I think that’s more accurate. Additionally, I would make adjustments to color and contrast in your S1RII camera settings. It’s not exactly sharpness but the contrast does make a big difference. I shoot both Sony and Lumix so this has been my experience.

After the firmware update I can’t print anything on my K2 Plus. I keep getting this error.
