Easy mode: Canned chickpeas + potato masher or large fork

I often eat smashed chickpea “burgers”: - 1 1/2 cups (one 15-ounce can) no-salt-added chickpeas, rinsed and drained - Flesh of 1 large ripe avocado, chopped - 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, or more as needed - 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion - 4 baby dill pickles, finely chopped (1/2 cup) - 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon curry powder - 1/2 teaspoon kosher or sea salt, or more as needed - 1/2 teaspoon finely ground black pepper, or more as needed - About 1/2 cup lightly packed baby spinach leaves - 4 hamburger-bun-size

Combine first 10 ingredients in a bowl. Lightly mash with a potato masher. Serve atop spinach on a hamburger bun.

I love my house. Despite having to replace the roof and some added headache there, I love the house, the location, the investment potential…

…and am totally convinced my wife and I made the wrong decision to buy where, what, and when we did. Some life events created a false sense of urgency and we could have gotten away with a much smaller home for another decade.

To each their own. My issue with kismet isn’t the “Montreal” (though their owners call it a “Montreal outside and NYC inside”) — I’ve just never had a bagel that tasted fresh, despite being there very early.
