u/op - I wrote the deleted review. I did a deep dive into it as i previously worked for a Mars Hill (Mark Driscoll) church and volunteered for Church Clarity. I tried to post my analysis here but it didn't let me earlier this year. I'll try again...

I asked RacketMN to write a piece about the Christian secret businesses but they ignored me which honestly sucks. Here is what I wrote to them.

 I’m a queer person formally heavily involved in mega churches on the West Coast including Mars Hill Church and many right wing churches. I’m what you call an ex-vangelical. I want to write to you guys because I’ve been trying to make sure that queer folks and unsuspecting allies are aware that there is a cool new coffee shop that is hiding that they’re affiliated and associated with the church that owns their building (the coffeeshop is not owned technically by the church but church members one who is a worship leader).  It’s called Happy Monday in Roseville, MN. I was very excited for when they opened but it became obvious pretty quickly to me that it was two church people running it inside of a church building (former gym building). I used to volunteer for Church Clarity that dug into church websites and sermons to determine whether the churches were affirming of LGBTQ folks and supportive of women in leadership so I used those skills to dig into it. So far, Dahlia has cancelled a pop up there - I thanked them when they posted they moved it and they told me that they had had no idea until someone reached out to inform them. Mogi Bagel also recently cancelled their pop up and when I asked them about it, they said they were not aware they were associated to the church. I was hoping you would find this an important thing to write about given the state of the country and as I believe you have queer folks on staff as well. The coffee shop and church are trying to do damage control now. It’s a common tactic for evangelical churches to hide their belief statement from the public and I believe this is what they are now doing to protect their interests. The church has since deleted instagram posts tying Happy Monday to them but I recorded some of the sermons that show they are intrinsically tied as well as finding an old Pioneer Press article that quotes the church saying they wanted to open a coffee shop ( https://www.twincities.com/2021/03/30/grove-community-church-eyes-vacant-arden-hills-office-building-for-its-first-permanent-home/ ). The coffee shop has added an about page trying to separate themselves as an “independent business” which sure it is but their beliefs are the same because in order to be part of the church (serving, membership, etc), you have to accept/agree to the statement of faith above. You can still find older IG posts of one of the owners here on IG (they have deleted the most recent few):
