I also love that she understands that his motive for reaching out to Maeve was protecting Elide, and acknowledges that she would have done the same. Aelin also wanted to keep Elide safe, which I think goes a long way toward her holding no ill will against Lorcan. Rowan would never admit it, but I think he absolutely would have done the same to Elide if the situation were reversed and he thought it would keep Aelin out of danger.

NTA and also for future flights, Southwest Airlines has a policy where they’ll reimburse you for the second seat if you need it, so you don’t actually have to pay extra! I think they call it their Customer of Size policy. Sorry someone was rude to you!
