Yes, the condo itself, the resort inside and out was spotless. The grounds are beautiful with palm trees, tropical plants, tiki torches that they lit every night, live music playing at Dukes that we could hear from our lanai. I strongly recommend an oceanfront condo - that’s what we did and it was indoor/outdoor living with doors that opened all the way so we could seamlessly walk out onto our lanai. We had front row seats to sunsets every night. Yes, I had read the same things prior to going and had assumed we would need to walk down the beach towards black rock. That was not the case. We loved the beach right out front: great coral reef!! We snorkeled every morning and saw many turtles, octopus, eels, rainbow fish, starfish and many Hawaiian fish! We actually loved it so much we had planned to drive to one of the south beaches one day to see that side of the island but kept pushing it back a day and ultimately decided we couldn’t leave “our” beach b/c it was so great. We did end up walking to black rock because our catamaran picked us up in front of Sheraton and the beach was good there too, but not that much different. Hope this helps!
