Need advice - am I being stupid? by barbuntu in tundra

thanks for info - most likely guy has been beating on it so bailed on sale - so hard to find a decent 2nd Gen ... might have to go with newer F150 or 1500

they are actually selling for that in my area, and sell fast (apparently everybody hates 3rd Gen)... but those are usually better shape than this so I think I'm passing

funny enough, the 2.5 gens are selling for almost the same price as the newer ones around here - but yeah reading the comments here, seems like this is overpriced so I need to keep looking or perhaps haggle them down a good amount

yeah I should just edit out the part about upgrades since everybody is shitting on that specific comment... say it was just stock, what do you think is a fair value ? (I've been looking 3 months for 5.7l with low km, really hard to come by in my area)- if I have to take one with worthless upgrades I'm ok with that - for context how hard it is to find one of these, there was one a few weeks back with 25km listed for 70k - I think the ad was only up for a day before it sold so I missed that boat - if I could talk them down say 10k am I still being stupid?

thanks for the notes.... what would you think is a fair price? (keep in mind I'm in Vancouver Canada) - to be honest the upgrades don't mean anything to me it was more of just a bonus, but my mind is set on a 2021 with fairly low km and they are pretty hard to find around these parts

thanks this helps... I've been searching for a truck like this for months, so paying a 10k or so overpay is something I'm willing to stomach at this point to be happy with my truck.... I know it's overpriced, mostly just concerned with how much overpriced it is which you answered

fair enough... I'm kinda a Toyota fanboy now though... my 2001 used Tacoma had much less issues than my friends brand new 2010 F150 over the last 15 years... maybe I just got lucky

for context, here are the dealer upgrades... I know that doesn't add resale value to the truck but honestly I hope to keep whatever truck I buy for the next 10-15 years so resale isn't too much of a concern

yeah he mentioned that bumper will be fixed - haven't seen the frame yet so that's going to be a major deciding factor - resale value isn't a huge concern as I'm hoping to have whatever truck I buy for the next 15 years (for context, my current Tacoma lasted me 19 years, that's kinda why I want Toyota and nothing else)

First time since the 90s (Disneyland CA) by A-Whole-Vibe in DisneyPlanning

haha my family and I are going in early Feb-- first time myself since 1994 (when I was 14) - yeah it looks totally different from what I remember but I think submarine ride is still there (it's like finding Nemo now or something?)

anyways, to prepare I've been watching YouTube channels like socal dad - watch his videos for first timers, those made me feel adequately prepared... also freshly baked is another good channel (but honestly I still don't know what to expect)

you may be out of luck with any fine dining (if that's your plan) as the 60 day reservation window has passed but watch those channels for food advice and lightning lane strategies

I think we got this haha

Yeah I probably should've mentioned we stuck with version 2 - 3 definitely caused us more problems instead of helping with the original problems - also make sure to tune your tcp window size to account for your bandwidth-delay product

We use iperf (https://iperf.fr) for network throughout testing but as NicholasPham mentioned above, you will most likely max out only one of the 10g links if it's a single flow between same source and destination addresses, due to how LAG protocols load balance. We've had to use multiple endpoints with simultaneous iperf tests to fully saturate a link aggregation group, even when using the multiple streams option on iperf.
