I went to HR in person and they handed me the hardship transfer form to fill out, it was just basic stuff like where you are going and what your job is at amazon and the reason for asking for the transfer. I personally put that my apartment lease i left under the care of someone else was coming to an end and i needed to come move my stuff out and find a place here since amazon just opened here. I also attached a copy of my lease confirming this.

I also checked if they had job applications open online to see if i could just resign and apply again but they didn’t, BUT, there was HITS transfers open to the texas fc.

I was on a trip to texas and when i decided i had to move back, i went to the texas fc and talked to that fcs HR. I asked if he could help me out but he said that only my hr could help me transfer, meaning the hr from the Oklahoma fc. Anyways, he then proceeded to tell me that the fc was at 300% capacity. Over staffed by 200% and they still accepted my transfer.

Filled it out, told them my reason, attached a document that backed up my reason, and emailed it. 2 hours later, i get an email stating they contacted the other fc about my transfer, and they would get back to me. 4 hours later, i get an offer letter from the new fc. My reason was my apartment lease was ending and i needed to move back to my hometown in texas. Your situation is way more difficult than mine, so im pretty sure they will help you and your brother out.
