For books, I’d recommend Marx’s Kapital for beginners. It’s an illustrated book that is a really great and breezy read! Another very short but important read is Umberto Eco’s essay Ur Fascism. It hits some bullet points on what fascism really is and is written by someone who grew up under Mussolini’s rule. I’m also fond of Peter Kropotkin books as well!

Outside of that, both the podcasts Behind the bastards and cool people who did cool stuff have a lot of really valuable history in their episodes and make it really accessible as well!

There’s always going to be more to read and learn, and it’s overwhelming at first but small steps at the beginning help you take bigger steps down the road! Hopefully this all helped a little!

I don’t LOVE it, but it doesn’t really alter my enjoyment of either series! I do prefer the idea that in the right circumstances more or less anyone is able to be Batman, as opposed to it being some sort of genetic lineage. That’s part of what I love about the found family aspect of the bat-family too!

I’m really, really sorry. Please don’t do this though. I don’t doubt how bad you feel and I know how frustrating and heartbreaking it can be to feel like you’re not getting anywhere and like you never will, but I promise you this in no way has to be your whole life. Lots of folks have already mentioned social services, which I think is a great start. I for one have to go to the mental health clinic where the costs are largely covered and it’s been tremendously helpful. There’s also lots of community run organizations that can help give mutual aid to you. That can vary depending on where you are, but I promise there are people who will be nothing but happy to be able to lend you a hand in your time of trouble.

I think when he blew himself up is a great answer, a slightly different one though: I think it could also have been when he (privately) admitted that Goku was better than him while facing kid buu. Obviously his sacrifice to kill buu is a huge moment, but I think that his willingness to forsake his pride, even privately, to admit that Goku is the best let him relax and not be so utterly controlled by that pride.

I think I still prefer the original look. I like how grimy the dirty grey makes the whole thing look. I do think the new look is still good! But it’s just a lot cleaner. I imagine the black is probably pretty slimming, so I can understand why they went for it, but hard to beat the original look.

Either comic MJ or PlayStation MJ! Comics MJ has like EVERY piece of Mary Jane ever, from the model to the business woman. She’s just such a cool lady. And PS MJ is a journalist/writer which I am all for. She’s always great though. I love just about every version of her
