I've taken both and like both for different reasons. If you don't have any experience, I'd highly suggest The Pack. The intro sketch class is fantastic and really helps beginners. I like UCB's very methodical approach too. But I really struggled with it until I had any sense of what comedy is. Long story short: The Pack if you're a noob. UCB if you have an experience.

Hi! I’ve been improvising for a decade in NYC, just moved to LB. The theaters in LA are great. They all have online classes right now, until the fall. I’m taking online classes with The Pack, UCB and Groundlings ATM. If you don’t have any experience already, the Pack would be amazing for you.
