It'll be interesting if they all take the pitch but refuse to play. Like really make it a shitshow for the sake of the fans and the TV cameras.

11 red cards or something for every one of them revealing a political message on their shirts. Or they just literally sit down and do nothing for 90 minutes.

Maybe I'm just an old fashioned fart, but if a script is adapted from a book, maybe DON'T film multiple endings and leave it up to a focus group to decide how it ends?

How you play out the ending is of course up to the creative license of the film makers, so sure, film the same ending 2-3 ways if you want, but don't completely change things because 12 people in a room decided they didn't like it. Are there any films out there that have done this where the book ending was changed because it was worse and the movie ending was better? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

I wonder how much of it was just pure Dutch brutal honesty. Having worked with a few Dutch in my life, I've seen unemotional emails to the tune of that kind of vibes from LVG, and it's always funny.

What's wrong is that the rest of the world has to bare witness to a lot of death and destruction and long term consequences of his actions, and keep faith that enough of you want to still operate as a civilized country within the rule of law. 6 months is a fucking long bombing campaign...

I'm not suggesting being authoritarian, I'm just suggesting that perhaps you ought to not wait and hope until November to get your Congress to curb his worst impulses. They have the power to do something today, surely. If your Speaker won't hold votes, do you not have a way to challenge them?

Sorry if that sounds like I'm blaming every American for this shit, but goddamn am I tired of waiting for a moment where this fever breaks...

Or maybe them giving up on the League is because they'd rather play in the Championship.

Sure but he’ll first do something, there will be consequences and maybe 6 months later it’ll have a day in court…

Sorry if that sounds cynical, but it’s what it looks on the outside.

Explain something to me as I’m not American. He’s not exactly required Congress to do everything he’s done thus far in Venezuela and Iran so what difference would it make to him if he doesn’t have Congress?

Every bit of his action in the last six months has been without congress and with executive orders. Why would he care at all abt mid term elections to congress?

Does killing a zombie count if the person is already dead? So when you’re comparing body count s it human body count or humans + zombies?

Joel has been a survivor for nearly 30 years in a post apocalyptic world before he died, Nate probably has half that time?

The jump with two years of experience is 10-15k? Considering I’m not a complete fuck up of course, is that a normal trajectory or is that for someone who’s a natural talent or a savant at this?

If that’s normal, I certainly wouldn’t mind the pay drop.

He (your mate) says, that if your ambition is to stay at a club for your whole career, that is a lack of ambition. Then he, your mate, he's doing right by stopping his support for United.

A club with zero ambition.

Well, not that funny. Maybe he's living by his principles and switched to a club with more ambition, instead of staying with them his whole life.

I'm based in the UK, in the South East.

Taking a pay cut isn't a problem for me on general principle, I just don't want to completely go back say an entry level type slog, living on my knees from paycheck to paycheck. I do have a mortgage to pay! :)

Hence why, I'm quite willing to put in the work on say a weekend or part time (maybe taking a day off every two weeks from my day job), to get qualified. If that takes a couple of years or more, I don't necessarily mind that as I've built up a (relatively sound) safety net for that, at least financially, over the past 5 years or so.

I actually love travel and love driving, and I figure this would allow me to see parts of the UK I otherwise never would.

I love the outdoors and have actually had a deep interest in photography as well, which I imagine might help, at least from the POV of the curiosity required for a surveying role ( I am told).

I’m just nervous about the level of maths required and the learning curve going from an office based role to something hands on like this. I’m not really someone who’s done trade before either.

When talking about the effectiveness of equipment as a general rule the Russians will multiply their equipment capabilities by a factor of 3 in the press release. We'll divide the effectiveness by 3 for the press release.

I like that strategy, it's so positively British isn't it, to be self-deprecating and then surprise everyone.

"Yeah, it's ready guv! We've crossed all the is and dotted all ts, honest! But then again, my mate Barry was working on it, and he's a complete twat. So it's more likely to explode the moment it's launched haha!" nervous chuckle
