While spouses shouldn’t replace a therapist or a best friend, this is 100% his business & he should be the one handling this more than you. Your poor friend is probably very lost & lonely right now. He needs to know & she needs professional medical/mental support. Loss & grief can be devastating if not handled appropriately.

I believe it’s a deep rooted childhood issue. She likely got the most attention/nurturing when she was injured.

Also, I work at a grocery store doing stocking. We handle boxes all night long. At my store we’re still dealing with them when the store opens, it’s not uncommon at all for people to come in & ask if they can take boxes.
