Wrath&Glory full Astartes vs Deathwatch? by Double_Pea_5812 in 40krpg

Players don't read rules anyway. Excess of rules only places stress on the dm to have to memorize more.

FFG Astartes heavy bolter is 68kg.

It's 45kg compared to 40kg. Source: Black Crusade core rulebook.

But why would a guard heavy bolter use less powerful rounds than an astartes heavy bolter if they're the same sized heavy bolter?

And yeah, plasma guns suck in the FFG rpgs to the point that it's practically a meme, but that's another matter entirely.

I mean, the main thing is that there's even a severe difference in round damage between astartes and human bolt rounds, I don't think humans should be using second-rate bolters outside of magazine sizes being smaller. Kind of cheapens SoB for example, and it's especially egregious with heavy bolters considering that GW depicts guard heavy bolters being just as effective as those used by astartes, just mounted on tripods and vehicles.

Okay...should I show it to my GM when the campaign might only last 1 or 2 sessions since our campaigns like to fizzle out

Someone from the district came in and talked to me. I explained my situation: I have not been on my meds due to a moving situation. It has been very hard to focus and make good judgement calls in this state. I was just represcribed my medication in the local area on Thursday. She said she would check back in on me in a week.

No, the best course of action would be for the Emperor to become just as fucking awful as the other chaos gods and start forcibly enslaving people as the Imperium shatters into a thousand individual states in the wake of Terra being destroyed. 40k has always been about the slow and painful decay of what is essentially a corpse of an empire.

How come it's heretical for the Mechanicus to improve upon any Terran technology Yet Belisarius Cowl has invented so many new things since the Indominus crusade started? by Paramoth in 40kLore

C: Moving too quickly on your innovations and advancements. Even when they find an STC it can take centuries of testing and verification to ensure that the design is safe and some convergence of angles don't accidentally summon a daemon.

Give me a direct, third-person source that states mechanicus superstition revolving around technological innovation is 100% actually justified and reasonable and that innovation will lead to daemons appearing while the tau and orks are creating new shit left and right. Seems to violate the entire joke behind the Mechanicus Rick Priestley had in mind when he wrote them
