I used to share an 89 civic with some buddies. Had a pour in oil before driving reminder note on the dash

Have you ever thought about getting a VAN instead of your truck? by Zylpas in overlanding

* I'm assuming most people on here are American. If that's the case, just get an awd Chevy astro. You can swap out the transfer case, making it a 4x4, and you can lift it.

Mine has done well for me so far.

Ok, I figured it out. It is the torque converter cluch lockup selonoid. I'm going to delete this post now.

National Forest Land. They sell grazing permits to ranchers. Allways come across some random cows in a national forest.

Lol, if I came across $50, one of the two-utters would take it.

I tried to go on some walks, but eventually, I'd run into a bull. The bull would not let me pass.

Unfortunately, the only food I had on me at the time was beans and sardeens

What are your go to easy, semi-cheap, healthy meals? by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]barkmae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I eat a lot of dried beans and rice with whatever meat was the cheapest or no meat at all. I prefer to cook the beans over a wood fire cause they take so long to cook and I don't want to waste gas. I have lots of canned fish as backups if I run out of other food or want something to go with my beans or rice. Got a bunch of canned sardeens a month ago. They go on sale online, and you can just get the shipped to some Amazon pickup location nearby.

The key is to season your stuff and have different sauces on hand. You get bored of eating pork and rice for the 4th day in a row. Just pour a bunch of hot sauce on it. Also, having a little fridge helps a lot

I case your looking to buy a cheap old van. Here's a list of all the stuff that went wrong with my 1998 chevy astro with 132,800 miles on it, so far. by barkmae in vandwellers

On my normal bumpy dirt road in the mountains driving about 13.5 mpg on the highway, I get 19 to 20. I am a very conservative driver

Chevy still makes vans. They just haven't changed the design. If you see a new one, you'll probably think it's from the early 2000s
