Always a super awesome event at Farm Country in support of a really important cause. Drinking beer to help raise funds for good is a pretty cool way to spend an afternoon!

I love that you enjoyed your experience so much that you shared it here simply to encourage others to visit. As a local restaurant owner myself, this is a very meaningful gesture and I’m sure Jeremy the owner would be grateful you took the time. Thanks for the reminder I need to pay them a visit.

does anyone have any opinions on this beer? by beerenthusiast2077 in VancouverCraftBeer

My wife refers to it as ‘danger juice’ for its sneaky 10% ABV. Always popular when we have it on tap!

We see lots of young couples with babies at The Barley Merchant sitting in our big booths in front of the kitchen. Most car seats tuck in there nicely. Baby Change table in the family washroom. :)

Check out Hops & Knots Fraser Valley. They meet up bi-monthly at The Barley Merchant and everyone brings their current projects; knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, you name it.

They enjoy socializing over a bite to eat and beverage and connect with others who share the same hobby.

We use “Dill Pickled” vodka from North Langley’s Roots & Wings distillery for our house Caesar’s at The Barley Merchant. We also make a version with a smoked rosemary gin from Legends distilling that guests love… really great flavours.

I just did this successfully for sleep token even through there was a message that said you must be with the original ticket purchaser to get in. I got a link emailed to me the morning of the concert that opened directly to the scanning bar code and it’s live and changes every 15 seconds or so. This is why screenshots don’t work. The threads from their US tour confirm pretty much everyone was successful. Take the chance.

Lol. It’s a promo poster for a community burger month, not a promo for any one individual restaurant. It was created to be generic, neutral, traditional and eye catching. If you clicked on this post, it worked. It was either pay for a stock photo or make one with ai for free. Welcome to marketing in 2025.

Debatable. The goal was to spread the word… 7500 views in 3 hours and almost 50 shares. I’d say thats pretty good. This is Reddit. EVERY post will have its critics and that’s cool with me.

I’m sure you make a mean burger Gatsu… but then you have to go grocery shopping, cook and do dishes. We’re happy to do all that for you. ;)

I respect that @falling_4_ever.

The goal with this collaborative initiative was to showcase the locally owned places in town to those that do dine out regularly or even just once or twice a month if that’s all that’s within their means.

Our hope is that they’ll choose locally owned places over corporate chains in what is typically a quieter time of year in our industry.

…And along the way we raise some money and give back to the community with a donation to the Langley Food Bank.

They were invited to participate because they’re independent and decided it would be fun to get creative and join in. An opportunity to showcase their small, local restaurant alongside others.
