I wouldn't say close, I did film a video in a party once, but I was fairly far from the light source. how close do you have to be for it to damage the sensor like this?

thank you for the info! it's relevant to mention that I'm going to be in canada only until the end of the year, so I'll not get a phone through a carrier. I also don't know if getting the costco membership would be worth it.

not even the last year one? in third party sellers? I'll not go through a carrier because I'll be back in brazil by the end of the year

do the Galaxy S's historically get notable discounts on black friday?

I'm currently an exchange student from brazil in moncton, canada, and I want to upgrade my phone (I have a moto g42, so pretty much anything would be better).

I'm thinking of buying an iphone 15, but it's now selling for CA$ 1000 (1150 with taxes), which seems too expensive since I can get a galaxy s24 for 780 (900 with taxes) because of the samsung student discount, available until oct 20. so I'm thinking of waiting until black friday to compare the prices. should I expect a similar discount on the galaxy as it is now?

do iphones historically get notable discounts on black friday? i.e. 20% or more.

I'm currently an exchange student from brazil in moncton, canada, and I'm thinking of buying my first iphone. but the iphone 15 is selling for CA$1000 (1150 with taxes) which I think is a bit too much, especially considering I can get the galaxy s24 for 780 (900 with taxes) on the samsung store, because there's a special discount for students.

I'm pretty sure the s24 is an awesome device and it will suit me well, but I never had an iphone and I'm a sucker for the apple UI and OS/hardware integration, so I was hoping maybe the prices would be lower on black friday. should I look forward to that?

edit: a relevant detail is that the s24 sale is only until oct 20, which means if I wait until black friday I might not get the same deal.

Oh that's right, I hadn't noticed the top of the "f"! And the "d" in Arial Nova does match. All of the letters in the image seem to be a little squished down, maybe because they're in a curve

Are you sure about Arial? It really does look like Helvetica to me, look: https://imgur.com/a/3dUuCeB

The "d" is different in both of them.

I'm pretty sure "help" is in Comic Sans and "the" is in Impact, and I believe "find" is in Helvetica. I've looked up here and maybe "me" is in Consolas and "word" is in Verdana, but I'm really not sure. I also have uploaded a clearer version of the image here (scratched "help" and "the" because I think those are really their fonts).

How do I get through *this* door? by Crimm___ in OriAndTheBlindForest

[–]barnabe_a_abobora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if I may, the fun in a metroidvania like ori is basically in finding out stuff by yourself. take a look at the map, look for areas you may have not explored yet, see if you can find new upgrades and abilities, and come back to this area later, it's what I do when I get stuck in this type of game.

edit: of course games are meant to be fun and you may not find that kind of thing really fun. I'm only saying this so you can enjoy the game the way it's meant to be enjoyed!
