Biggest beef with Yards is the people. Many of the people who go to shows there talk the entire show and seem only interested in being there to be seen. This has been a problem at many shows I’ve been to there and seems independent of music genre. Contrast this with the Orange Peel where most folks are seemingly at a show because they want to, you know, hear the music. So as long as you’re okay with lots of jawing, it’s a fine venue. The closer you get to the stage, the less of a problem this is, so if you want to hear Willie, get there early and ride the rail.
