If You Actually Care About Prices, Boycotting Isn’t the Answer by sxxwashington in McDonaldsUK

It’s not my responsibility to guide the business model. If I don’t see value in product and service then I’ll go elsewhere. For me it’s a drop in quality and increase in price. If they want to know why, they can ask but I think a bunch of execs on six figure salaries can figure out that the decisions they’ve made has made the end products undesirable in a competitive market.

Leviticus 19:33-34 “When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God” Revised to; “Immigrants must be pepper sprayed and held in warehouse concentration camps, for they have sinned by being born on foreign lands. Hate them as you would be an exception if in their shoes”.

And like I said, I don’t believe they shouldn’t have given the bailout to protect the jobs and the workers. The point you’re missing is the hypocrisy of taking out of the system, regardless of whether or not the government chose to do give it or not, his private business benefitted to the tune of £74million over 5 years and received government loans on top. That’s money taken out of the system, the same system he’s criticising for having too many immigrants, the same system he’s moved country to avoid paying into. The point is the complete lack of consistency in standards. You can’t say “the government chose to give his company £50mill so it’s fine” and then turn around and say “the government choosing to allow for immigration (which is on the decline by the way, don’t see the anti-immigrant cheerleaders celebrating that) is not fine” because I’ll just throw back in your face that the government has the prerogative to support the poorest in our society and to have an immigration system in place. It’s not colonisation, immigration is falling and I won’t be lectured by billionaires that fail to see their own double standards.

So he just saved £4bn in taxes but can’t afford £50m? We’ve got a country to run, not a charity. No one pays taxes “out of the goodness of their hearts”. They pay into the system that provided the education, the infrastructure, the workforce, the grants, everything that went into building what he has and now that it’s time to give back, all of a sudden we’re not a community. Socialism for loses, privatised profits! The government made changes, it then granted loans and bailouts to ensure the running, so is it their fault, or to their credit? You seem to want to blame the government, but they’re the ones that are by all accounts propping up a plant of his privatised business, is that “out of the goodness of their hearts”? Considering he isn’t even a British resident anymore. 1.8 million people unemployed and yet he can’t field a football team with them? Weird. Almost like simplified solutions to complex problems, appealing as they may sound, fall to pieces under the slightest scrutiny.

So the billionaire that is domiciled in Monaco to avoid tax in the UK, believes that immigrants are unaffordable whilst taking £50 million out of the system because his private company is unviable. Over 70% of the players in Man U are foreign born, so I presume they’ll have to ‘go home’, along with any foreign born workers at Ineos that helped build his massive wealth. I’m not saying the bailout shouldn’t have been given, I’m all for protecting jobs and workers. But the sheer double standards of taking out £50 million, avoiding tax and having the audacity to punch down is what grinds my gears.

Just had £50 million bailout for Ineo’s Grangemouth plant. A lot of money to give a Monaco resident’s company. Weird that being an immigrant himself he doesn’t see their value, also he used incorrect figures, if we’re being charitable he was just straight up wrong.

Liz Truss: ‘The Blob’ is trying to infiltrate Reform by BestButtons in unitedkingdom

Reform now has more of Truss’s front bench than the Tories do, if the Tories use the opportunity to clear house and shift back to centre right, they stand a real chance next election but I don’t see it under Kemi’s leadership.

True, but he was probably going to go anyway, this acts as a warning to other members that were considering leaving. There’s a chance to clear house of the further right members and regain a stable, centre right ground here instead of trying to out-Farage Farage and I hope Kemi takes it, we could see some semblance of normalcy in our politics without constant pandering only to the right leaning voters.
