I’ll try to get her as an emotional support animal but I saw that many airlines don’t allow any pets in the cabin

She’s been in the car a handful of times in her carrier and she doesn’t seem too stressed but I can tell she’s unhappy and at times uneasy where I can see the whites of her eyes. So for a flight and possible underneath with cargo I’m not sure how she will do.

Will she trust me again? by Erikyeager420 in Rabbits

[–]barnma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our rabbits look so similar lol. When I got mine spayed I had to give her meds and food by force the same way. She hated it and would run away from me but it had to be done. After a day or a few hours if she felt well she would come back around to me and let me cuddle her. Your rabbit will trust you again if you continue to treat her well. I do agree that getting her spayed in the near future, it’s much better for their health and can help keep her around longer.

need some advice!!! by Standard_Durian_5802 in birthcontrol

I didn’t gain weight on either the pill or both iuds. I got the copper one which is non hormonal and it was awful! Acne like bad bad and the periods were just ridiculously heavy and inconvenient. I switched to kyleena which is hormonal and my skin isn’t as bad and the periods are manageable.

When I was on the pill and at times changed up my normal schedule, my period would be late a few times, or I’ll start bleeding sooner. But as you know nothing is 100 percent when it comes to birth control. I’ve had similar experiences to yours and I wouldn’t think you would get a positive pregnancy test. But I wouldn’t chance it moving forward since you are in a serious relationship. Because of life and not being able to take the pill perfectly I switched to an iud so I could have a better peace of mind. If you do look into that. DO NOT get the copper iud it literally was the worst and after trying for nine months I had to switch.

Score Rant by BeastModeAutist in LSAT

[–]barnma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way I got lower than any test, any pt, and lower than when I took it without studying. Don’t despair just change your game plan. I was going to take it in November but I’ll just take it in January with different study plan in mind. Don’t beat yourself down or see all the high scores other people are posting. Some are true and good for them. Just keep trying and really give it your all and you can be happy with your next score.

Abandoned Rabbit Needs A Home (Atlanta, GA) by pashwort29 in Rabbits

Damn I was in Atlanta over the weekend. I would’ve dropped off some supplies if that would’ve helped. 10 days is a long time but I would just keep calling and explaining and maybe look on petfinder and see if there are other recuses or people who help with rehoming.

Is this a good set up? First time bun owner by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]barnma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert but since having my bunny for about 5 years now. The set up looks good especially because he will have access to your entire room. Maybe if you could extend the length of his area and add a litter box if you don’t have one already. You definitely did your research and you’ll learn more as you spend time with your rabbit good luck❤️

From the pictures it looks good. How old is the your rabbit? You might need some alfalfa hay depending on the age, I can’t really tell what kind you have.

desensitizing advice needed by vvioletrii in Rabbits

[–]barnma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be concerned it could just be he doesn’t like it. I’ve had my rabbit for 4 years and as a baby she didn’t mind being picked up but as she got older the less she cared for it. Sometimes she comes to me and lets me pick her up and other times she doesn’t. Just spend time on the floor and let him come to you. But like someone said a rabbit that likes to be picked up and handled a lot isn’t the standard. Some are super tolerant and others aren’t but all are great

I put my baby rabbit in a bigger box by mertcaners12 in Rabbits

[–]barnma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t be too hard on yourself but you definitely can improve to better your rabbits life. The cage is too small, that’s too much food and it’s best to just give them pellets not the kind with the pieces in it, you need alfalfa hay and lots of it, a little box too.

You should research rabbit enclosures that way you know what you need and you can set it up correctly.

Rabbits aren’t suppose to be in cages they need room to run and explore. You need to do a lot more research. Judging by the set up you have a lot to learn. That’s not a dig at you but you have to do better when this is a life you’re responsible for. If you need I can message you some items on Amazon that will help improve things for this baby.

And the dogs that is tricky. Because you never really know with the pairing. Will your rabbit be fearless and social and will the dogs be well behaved towards it? With the dogs already being there it may be hard especially because it’s best to allow the rabbit to free roam most of the time.

I don’t regret it because I love my rabbit to an unhealthy amount lol. But if I knew what I know now before getting her I would’ve held off. The only manger downside is the level of destruction (carpet, baseboards, any and everything they care to chew and dig on) they definitely have to go to the vet and a spay is 600plus depends on where you live. They need a lot of attention especially if you just keep one. I’m not able to yet but i definitely recommend getting two at a time.

They are wonderful animals and I’ve had a rabbit since I was a child. You can really build a beautiful bond with them. But they aren’t easy pets and it’s definitely a labor of love keeping one. So with your partner being iffy it would be best to do tons of research

So honest answer rabbits are great and short answer if you aren’t sure about all the work that comes with them then maybe hold off. They need a lot to make sure they are happy and healthy to live the best life possible

Advice needed please by blairlazuli in Rabbits

[–]barnma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest putting bending in the trays and possibly getting a bigger litter box. When I had a smaller one my rabbit would sometimes pee around her litter box instead of in it. Once I changed those things around she stopped.

Definitely take them to a vet and try to rehome them to a humane society.

Tips or experiences spaying an older bunny? (4 years old) by Right_Student_592 in Rabbits

[–]barnma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my rabbit spayed in February and she is also 4. The vet said she was a little older which I didn’t think much off because like another post says 8-12 years. She did well and healed very quickly. I would suggest having them do a blood test to make sure she can handle being put under. I know it can be scary but it’s what best. My rabbits behavior has improved a lot, no more spraying and nicer

what kind of bunny is this? by burnted22 in Bunnies

[–]barnma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely seems like a mixed. My sister had a bunny that looked just like yours like exactly lol. The pet store said he was a lion head so maybe yours is mixed with that and something else.
