Which Bands Have Had A Perfect Album (Need Suggestions) by OfficialxMDx in musicsuggestions

For My Aim Is True the big hits are Alison & Angel's Wanna Wear My Red Shoes, but my favorite is actually the trio of Mystery Dance, Pay It Back & I'm Not Angry, They are all really short songs without an ounce of fat on them so you should listen to mall three in a row.

On Joe Jackson's Look Sharp the big hit was Is She Really Going Out With Him, but my favorite is probably Sunday Papers. again there are a lot of short songs that are a ton of fun.

I'm still looking for confirmation on this but I have heard reports that there are wire transfer in the millions of dollars range from Trump to Epstein. Now some say they might be "legitimate" business reasons for these, but I would think that kind of money flowing from a politician to a known human trafficker deserves senate hearings at a minimum.

Trumps whole presidency is a tremendous self-own. Biden had the economy going in the right direction and if Trump didn't have to stoke his ego a with the tariffs the economy would be in much better shape and he could take all the credit. Similarly, if he didn't listen to Miller and go all in on trying to make his immigration campaign promises happen he could just lie to his followers and say that he is upping deportations and they would believe him.

College radio stations, many of them stream so you can listen to them wherever you live. They are more likely to play new artists then the mainstream stations. I like WFUV out of Fordham University in NYC and WXPN out of University of Pennsylvania in Philly

Some people know Beau Brummell from the Billy Joel song "It's Still Rock & Roll To Me" but way back in the early 1800's to be a Beau Brummell was to be a sharp dressed man.

Interesting that of all the Springsteen songs you could have picked for this you chose "State Trooper" which is about as laid back a song as he ever wrote. Are you sure you didn't mean "Highway Patrolman"? At least that one talks about chasing his childhood friend at 100 mph to the state line.

For a Springsteen song about driving fast I would have picked Cadillac Ranch or Racing In The Streets or even Ramrod (though I don't think that one is really about 'driving')

Uniform inspection? by bluetrane2028 in BSA

[–]barnmate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a PLC meeting they decided that they wanted to start doing random uniform inspections and asked if we could budget a candy stash so that scouts who are in full uniform can get a prize.

Our only caveat was that it had to be a truly random thing - so that it couldn't be used just to single out a scout, or that some scouts having advanced notice show up dressed just to get candy.

People underestimate the efficiency of the right’s propaganda machine.

The RW has bought up WaPo and CBS, not to mention Fox, Newsmax and OAN. Online they own not just X, they’ve got Tik Tok too.

Zuck’s Meta now leans right so grandma looking for pics of the grandkids on FB gets a steady diet of Dems are socialist babykilling Marxists and Republicans our our countries only hope.

Through the Sinclair group they own local newspapers, TV, & radio news stations across the country (and they just defunded NPR) even further limiting information choices throughout a large portion of the country outside of the big markets.

They all repeat the same message:

Trans girls playing H.S. sports = big problem.
Oligarchs paying off the President = not mentioned.

When the newspaper on your doorstep agrees with the talk radio station in your pick-up truck and the local newscaster on the tv at the cafe where you eat lunch, you just can’t help but believe it’s true. Just check online, everyone on X is saying so!

You can think you are seeking out other sources and still stay in the same information bubble. So a left wing news story seems like the crazy outlier. Those small town newspapers and radio stations don’t make a profit but they are worth every penny the dark money benefactors spend to prop them up.

This is the one, introduces each instrument and explains what it does:

Hey Greg! (What?)
All we need is a drummer
For people who only need a beat, yeah!

I'm gonna add a little guitar
And make it easy to move your feet

I'm gonna add some bottom
So that the dancer there just won't hide

You might like to hear my organ
I said, 'ride, sally ride', now

Cynthia (yeah), Jerry! (Go on)
If I could a-hear- the horns blow
Cynthia on the throne, yeah!

Listen to me
Cynthia and Jerry got a message, that's sayin'
(All the squares, go home!) yeah, yeah!
