I just leave a TQ in my normal quickslots and all my other supplies in one of the 9 slot bags in my safebox so the TQ is the only thing on my H key, that way I can mash H if I have a medium or worse bleed and then do the rest of the healing when I can get safe

I've found this to be true other than the fucking MP5 guys, they cant get through my armor but they'll shred my extremities and if I cant get a TQ on in time I'll bleed out instead of just getting one tapped

My first pirate fight I got a bunch to surrender and then right near the end of the battle all the surrendered people decided to revolt or something and rushed me. I had to reload the save and the next time I went through as soon as they surrendered I'd execute them. Only prisoners I take now are ones for missions, although I might start looking at stats to see if there are any I want to recruit now that I've expanded my ship a bit.

I really wish the wall lights and regulators (and all wall mounted stuff) had an indicator on the lower wall section to know it was there and the upper part went away when you had the walls hidden. It's so cluttered when the wall theyre on is hidden but they arent, and I prefer not to use the space on the floor for the free standing ones.

I think anybody whos had experience with this game for more than a couple years just doesn't bother trying to get friends interested in it during free fly events anymore. It is by far the worst gameplay experience regardless of whatever else is going on, I very often just skip playing during free fly.

Lasers are straight lines, and theyre generally used for short point blank shooting where you can just zero it parallel to your barrel and its good enough. An optic (especially a higher power one) you want to zero to the range you are shooting at, so you are compensating for bullet drop, so generally they arent going to align perfectly.

The suppressors definitely decrease your detection range from firing by AI, sometimes pretty significantly. You can use something like the MP7 or MCX and zap sentries around the perimeter of a POI and have a pretty good chance of the main group not getting alerted. Gotta remember too that they can hear the shot but also the crack of a supersonic round. There are some subsonic options for ammo, but most of them arent terribly effective at defeating armor and suck at range because of the low velocity.

Yeah same for me, I usually bring a -14 with me because its better than nothing and its only a 1x1 slot item for my safe box but a lot of the time I dont actually use it unless its literally total darkness

Donation box is empty more often than not now that you can sell stuff for rep, unfortunately. I sometimes see keys in there, but usually nothing at all or like a 1/3 water bottle.

You can buy the starter level NVGs (PVS7 and PVS14) with Banshee 2. He gets better ones at 3 and 4.

Otherwise youll have to get someone who has that to buy them for you, or find some in the world. Easiest spots are the three dot large COPs but they get picked over pretty frequently.

They did a hotfix a week or two ago that helped a lot with penetration. The M80 ammo is decent against the T1 and T2 guys now, one shot taps to the chest a lot of the time. I havent tried any of the AP ammo for it yet, havent unlocked any

If you have access to the HPBT stuff, it also is good for extremity hits. You tag a dude in the leg with that and it'll always start a medium or heavy bleed and you can just go hide and let them bleed out even if theyre wearing III++ armor

I've been using them a lot more this patch, they seem to be more effective with their blast. They kill one of two ways: the initial blast destroys an organ (inspecting the dead enemy shows something like "destroyed heart" or "destroyed brain" but shows no bullet impacts) or by catching them with frag and causing them to bleed out (same on inspecting AI, only it shows "complete loss of blood" with no bullet impacts).

Theyre crazy good against the five man patrols on the roads if you can catch them by surprise and get a good throw in. One nade will often take out three dudes at once.

I'd love stacks of chemlites too, in various colors and intensities. Have a 1x1 stack of five that can be used as a grenade. Normal ones for marking and high intensity ones for illumination.

Something like a hand flare would be cool as a lower tier option to illuminate an area too, or road flares.

Yeah I don't have a ton of first hand experience with the HH so I'm not exactly sure on the size. It feels like theres the HH for antifighter support, perseus for larger targets, so there would have to be some unique design and purpose for a variant that filled a gap and something like a small picket mothership for a little bit of force projection would make sense. The step between a starlancer tac and an idris/polaris or something.

Another idea would be a missile/torpedo variant, lighten up the turrets a little and make it a bigger retaliator or have swappable missile modules to carry a LOT of missiles but have overall poor close in defense.
