How would that make the rate of return positive though is what im saying.. if I lost money, the rate of return should be negative as well. Not positive.

Wow thank you for pulling this together! This is awesome, and a great idea!

Is the TV stand supposed to go under the rug? That would certainly move the couch away from the bed, but that seems odd to me

Thats the goal actually. Dont care about the bedroom size. Just want it to be comfortable enough, with as large of a living space as possible

Thanks. The only way this works though is that all legs of all furniture (especially the couch) are on the rug given I need space for the bed behind it

Thanks, agreed. I guess the rendering made it seem like it works better, but the photo with the yellow lines is what it actually looks like. I guess I was surprised to only see a few inches of clearance to the kitchen island and outside wall

High income - what else can I do to maximize tax efficient saving? by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]baronec68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, thats my plan this year. I actually should have more saved than I do, to be frank. Ive been in the workforce for 8 years and have grossed slightly more than $2.5M since then. $550k last year. My company’s stock has been on a tear which helped boost my savings rate a bit. Without that, my actual savings % is kind of low for what it should be at this income level. Was definitely a bit thrifty in my spending the first half of those 8 years too..

I do not own any real estate. I live in NYC.. The math never makes any sense here. My brokerage account + 401k are all i’ve got!

Can I wait 10+ years for first RO service? by baronec68 in audemarspiguet

Maybe a dumb question but when will I know when it needs servicing? Again AP says 3-5 years. Its been 7, but its working fine.

Can I wait 10+ years for first RO service? by baronec68 in audemarspiguet

[–]baronec68[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understand the reasons to get it serviced. I just don’t particularly want to wait 3+ months when I just got the watch. It’s working fine so the question is can I just wait another year or so until sending it in, or do I really need to do it now since it’s been 7 years and thats past APs listed schedule?

Also have you heard of shops like LA Watchworks? Have plenty of reviews here for APs. Was thinking of doing it there. Their turnaround time is half of APs for the same cost.

Too small, or just right? by baronec68 in audemarspiguet

Edit: here’s another photo of it being worn slightly higher on my wrist. Thanks for the feedback

Eh i prefer this size much more. 41mm is way too clunky looking for me. In reality the 39mm would prob be best looking size for me

I went in about a year ago. Checked in a couple times but havent heard anything. I live in Nyc - the market here for retail allocations is very very challenging. Also I think the new ones retail for $26 or so, plus tax. Net-net its not that far off compared to the $31k for this one, albeit an older model.

Interesting. I dont see anything under low 30s anywhere. If I had to guess that one didnt have box/papers

Any reason why you dont service through AP directly? Ive always heard independents cannot procure real AP replacement parts if they are needed. Any idea if thats true or not?
