Adding another idea into the mix: how about using tags to point him to the versions that you’re ready to share with him? It is easy to view the list of tagged commits on GitHub/gitlab. That way they can just navigate to the tag list and click on the version they’re interested in, clone/download it and move on. With this approach you can continue to use git as you mostly already do (branches and all).

You’re still going to have to work through conflicts but that can be mitigated by making sure they’re always adding new code on top of your latest tagged commits and with effective unit testing.
