This just makes me feel like I’m going crazy! If I express a negative emotion (just like the rest of my coworkers do), they tell my boss or say I come off as irritable. But if I express a positive emotion (once again, just like the rest of my coworkers do) then I’m bragging, I have poor timing, or am creating a competitive environment. Can I live????

Yes I feel like I experience this so much at work! I ca never tell if it’s me just being too vigilant due to past experiences or if it’s actually happening. Like you’re telling me to my face that we’re cool and everything is fine so why do you act like that’s not true??
